I can't imagine a better reward
Bob,
I was packed and ready to leave on an extended backpacking trip on the Ozark Highlands Trail when I got the bad news this fall. Surprisingly, at the end of chemotherapy, I'm completely deconditioned:) Got my equipment put back away, but it is on my mind almost every day. My reward when I get to your position, is to get back in shape and go....
Congrats, and Merry Xmas -

Doing the happy dance for you right now! Merry Christmas! Enjoy that canyon trip!
I've done that climb up out of there in the past, and I'm not sure I could do it again right now. It was an effort to get to the top of Vernal Fall in Yosemite a few weeks back.
Deb
Vernal's straight uphill and beautiful. Must have been some ice on the JMT huh? Thanks for the dance.

SERIOUSLY GREAT NEWS! So happy for you Bob. It's been quite a struggle for you. So happy! Merry Christmas to you, and wishes for a very happy and healthy 2012.
Yea, quite the year. Lots of work, lots of blessings. No complaints. Merry Christmas to you and the little guy.
