More Good News
I am now 2.5 years post tx, so I am sharing because 1) I'm very happy and 2) I want all of you whom are still going through this or have just recently finished treatments to know that there are a LOT of good stories. Yes, it was horrible for a while and I so empathaize with y'all that are still living this. While I still have issues and side effects (and probably always will unfortunately), I am alive and here to complain about them occasionally.
I've posted this before, but my mission now is to encourage everyone I know with a teenager or young adult (Male and Female!) to get them the Gardisil vaccine. I tell them they don't want their loved ones to ever have to go through what I went through (or cervical cancer if female). If I can convince someone to do this and potentially prevent anal cancer from happening to someone down the road I will feel that something good has come out of my experience. I encourage others to do the same.

Hi Dog Girl!
Congratulations on getting all the good news! That's wonderful and I'm very happy for you! I go see my colorectal doc tomorrow for my 3-month check, so I will try to keep the good news coming!
I totally agree with you--the vaccine should be recommended to all parents with teens and people who meet the criteria. I would not wish what we've been through on anyone!
Here's wishing you all the best--may you always get good follow-ups!0 -

Great news for you and yes keep the great news coming, it helps everyone to know that this can be beat. Its funny what your dr said, and that reminds me of what a friend of mine said who lives about 40 miles south of me, she said how are things on your end, of course, the double meaning was very funny to me. I wish you continued great news.
Martha I wish you continued great news also. Lori0 -

I will just post on this thread, since it's all about good news. I saw my colorectal doc today and she said everything looked "perfect." Yay! I will see her again in 3 months, then have a colonoscopy in June, since it's been a couple of years.
Thanks everyone for the good wishes and prayers!0 -
