Whats the correct level of TSH after thyroidctomy?

Doctors disagree
There seems to be some disagreement about the TSH. My endo says it should be around zero; but others say it should be a bit higher. I think it depends partly upon your risk of recurrence--and also your doctor. Perhaps if you mention to your doctor in the States that you are confused because of what your doctor in Bankok said, you can get some information that will help clear up the confusion. Are you feeling OK with the level you are at now?0 -

i have no problem so far. i feel perfectly ok. just like before i had my thyroictomy. my cancer was 1st stage. so doctor said recurrance rate is very low. but they still wish to keep it low. any way thanks for the info dear.0 -

They is very little difference between the levels the doctors are telling you. They keep your TSH suppressed for at least one to three years to keep the recurrence rate low. If you feel okay don't worry. Keep taking the dose you are on.
