Prayers for a Good ScanKathryn_in_MN said:This is one case where going downhill is good!
I'm glad to see your CEA headed in the right direction!
My next scan is a week behind you. My CEA basically went 12, 9, 7, 5, 3.7, 3.3 and was 3.1 yesterday. I'm almost back under that magic number 3.
Praying that your PET matches your decline in CEA, and that tumors are shrinking!
Happy for both of you experiencing CEA decline. Now prayers for a good scan for each of you.

I'll report back in late TuesdayNana b said:Yea!! Awesome news! Try
Yea!! Awesome news! Try not to sweat it! You will be fine!! Thank you Lord!
I'll report back here after I get my results at the onc visit on Tuesday.
I am not feeling well today & I dropped a couple more pounds overnight & that worries me. I started off needing to drop about 20 pounds back in Feb. I was working on it intentionally and after my first cleanse, I did start losing weight & was very pleased about that. I am glad to be able to fit into some of my clothes that I haven't worn in a while, but now I'm not even trying to lose weight anymore and it keeps coming off. I've never in my life had that happen before. I've now lost 25 pounds from where I was in Feb. I could still drop another 6 or 7 lbs and not be too skinny, but beyond that it would not be good at all. When I had my original diagnosis and original symptoms I didn't lose weight. I was, in fact, trying to lose weight before a Hawaiian vacation and did not have success, so that's one reason why I didn't think I had cancer, because they always said unexplained weight loss was a sign and I couldn't lose weight even with trying then. Even in the hospital and after my liver resection when the doctor warned me I'd lose weight, I actually gained weight. So, why am I now losing it without trying? I try not to worry, but it's hard not to sometimes. Yes, the CEA did go slightly down, but it still is at 286 which is obviously pretty high. It's higher than it was at my last scan (I don't remember the exact number then, back in March, but it was in the high 100's, not high 200's like it is now).
Please pray for me...0 -
