The hardest part...

But, the good news is that the laryngeal cancer didn't light up the PET scan

Right now the plan is chemo only with possible radiation later. Will probably know more next week.
I'm finally over the shock of receiving this news today, I've cried a river but will put on my big girl panties and a smile when I get up tomorrow and prepare myself for battle.
I wasn't surprised actually and neither were my sisters, we all expected this because of the way I've been feeling lately and other signs.
It is what it is and I'm ready for battle!!!!!!!!

Yes, telling the ones you love is really heartbreaking, almost as if I'd let them down but I know that's not the case.
It's wonderful to know that I have all of you here to help me through the rough days. -

Like I said on FB - I joined in the pity party - now I'm on the team in your corner. (FYI - we are all holding out bottles of water - you know the drill - drink up).
i was in the same senario like u for my dad few weeks ago, met to lung and liver. its was really a devasted news. as time goes by we start to accept the fact no way we could hide. i change my mind by thinking that its a blessing everday to see him able to eat, walk, going places he wan to go. currently he under going chemo. today will be the last round for 1st cycle only. wat lies ahead of us, we don know. of course there so many postive story each day
important thing is that we must learn that everyday is a blessing!
stay happylaughther is the best medi

You have so many people
Thinking of you, praying for you, and rallying with you for the fight ahead and I am right there with them all. I feel it is ok to have a pity party once in a while, as it helps you gather strength to continue the fight
I have no doubt you will be fully ready for the fight ahead, and that you will make it through. Please lean on us and let us help you the way you have helped us.
Thoughts, prayers and good wishes coming your way.
