My friend has passed

One month before I was diagnosed with Stage 2a BC, a friend an co-worker was diagnosed with stage 3 stomach cancer. He was diagnosed a year ago this month. We tried to support each other since I was just one month behind him in treatment. The last time I saw him was in September when he had a "my chemo is finished" party. Last I heard (about a month ago) he was weak but cancer free. About a week ago he found out the cancer was back and had spread, pretty much everywhere. They thought he had a couple of months left. Just got an email that he passed last night. I did not know that his cancer was back, he was trying to keep it quiet. Just finished talking to his best friend, we were both sobbing. He has a wife and 3 year old daughter. Please send positive caring thoughts to them. THanks, Jennifer

    I think the death of a friend is that much more difficult to bear when it comes so fast and unexpected.
