couldn't believe it

I had been at work for about half an hour this morning when suddenly my boss and 2 co-workers came to my desk with flowers and small, pink, heart-shaped cakes, saying "Happy Anniversary!" For a brief moment I had no idea what they were talking about and then it hit me, one year ago today I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I didn't know that 2-10-10 meant anything to them! They made me feel very appreciated and special. They said I have no idea what an inspiration I am to others. Their calling me a trooper and a real warrior almost made me cry. I can go back in my mind and remember wondering if I would see another Christmas or my kids birthdays! Is it even possible that it's been a year?!

Just wanted to share this because it made me feel so good! You know, there are a lot of people out there who really care about us. BUT, just like us, they don't always know exactly how to say it. God bless.

    I think you are a class act and I'm often inspired by you. You cheer people on, share your knowledge, and you don't complain (even though I imagine you have plenty to say:)

    I'm glad they made you feel loved and special. I'm also glad your chemo is working so well.

    coworkers ...I am sure my family has NO IDEA or date or even month...(3 yrs this week I was CALLED back to re do mammo)

    anyhow...very special they remembered and did something for you....very very nice...

    Well that just proves what a sweet person you are and what a great group you work with!!! Sometimes people can just overwhelm you with goodness instead of all the Junk we see on TV or read.
