First Day of School was very Cool!!!
In my anthropology class the professor was talking about the 60's of what he was sure everybody there had heard of, and then he looked at me and said, "with the exception of you of course, you lived through them", LMAO, HEY, I was just a little kid when the sixties hit, dang it!!!!
All in all, WOW, I felt young again, happy, eager to learn and didn't think about cancer one itty bitty bit. It was a wonderful day.
I am no longer retreated from the world in any way shape or form (it's felt like that since I haven't worked in 2 years, I had gotten so tired, I closed my shop up, just didn't know it was from cancer) I am back full force. Hello world, knock, knock, it's meeeee.
Love you all, heck, I'm feeling the feeling from the "Sixties" (LMAO) PEACE OUT!!!

You know, here I was with this happy note, and now I realized, I don't remember if I took my Xeloda pills or not this evening. Shoot, now I've got to count them out. (I'll just think of this as my "Math Homework) LOL

You had a blast today because life itself is a damn blast. That is why we all go thru this cancer crap to have that blast. Today I was thinking about my last 3 years of my life. Yes, if you add up the real nasty crap and I had a year of it. I have the scars to prove it both mentally and physically.
But I also had 2 damn good years with a damn good chance of a hell of a lot more years.
I have learned how much I love and need my scary old woman and the rest of my family.
That alone is worth the crap I have been thru. I think your day also demonstrates my favorite words. Attitude Attitude Attitude

Happy for You!
Glad that you had a great day! You are totally amazing! I need your energy level! ( My chemo ended 4 months ago...I'm still fatigued! )
No flirting with all those cute young fellows! ( OK flirt...you deserve it! )
Math....wow! I hate Math...my brain literally shuts down when I hear " A train leaves Chicago
traveling 300 miles per hour.....blah blah blah!" My daughter has a Mathematics Degree! She thinks I'm weird!
I hope you have a great time in school.
Peace Out! ( 1960's! Ouch! )

Winter, you and keith have something in common
Hi winter marie
I am sure one day you and keith can share notes about your first day at school.
Now he is only five and you are just over 5ish so I always look for our similarities and this was a strange one.
Do you love your teachers as well ?
Have you made some new friends ?
And did you have fun today ?
all these questions and more we answer daily. his smile is from ear to ear and I hope yours is too.

As I sat there in class and had to take my "hoodie" off due to a "hot flash" I'm thinking the young guys wouldn't appreciate any flirting LMAO!!! I did think to myself, I'm the only one here having a hot flash. LOL.

HAHAHAHA!! OMG! I don't know how many times I have had to empty the Xeloda bottle and count out the damn pills to see if I still needed to take the next dose or if I had already taken it. I tried to keep it to a time table... like, I'd take them first thing in the morning with my arthritis pain pills and then last time at night with my arthritis pain pills. I always (usually) remembered if I had taken my pain meds, but half the time forgot if I took my Xeloda. How stupid was that?? So out the pills came and I'd have to count them ... sometimes within minutes of having taken the pain meds
Welllll, what an exciting day for Ms. Winter Marie!! So I figured out you are taking Math... but what all are you taking and are you working towards a degree?? I think that's fantastic that you are taking classes now!! Hehehe... here I am, retired (freedom at 55 don't ya know?) and I would love to take some classes... but alas, my "retirement" seems to be taken up with all my other hobbies. Soooooo, I'm not sure if taking classes is in the cards for me at this point... but hey, I never say never!! You just never know when some free time will pop up
Well, you go, girl!! I see lots of homework in store for you... so you can complain, too, that there's no free time!!!

Well, I love my professors, the English one is the most vibrant and exuberant one of the bunch. I've made a couple of friends, and I had a "BLAST". Math is hard and I'm in the easy math class. (started working on homework at 12:30 done with it, but not finished at 8:30, but I have English and Political Science homework still to do). I've found EVERY BATHROOM and they aren't easy to find. I walk around with a smile on my face and I notice everyone smiles back. I have 10 minutes on Mondays and Wednesday between every class (I have 5 those days) and I have to hurry to get to the classrooms. In my Tuesday Anthropology class (Mondays and Wednesday are Anthropology Lab) there are not enough seats for students and I had to sit on the floor this morning. The lesson learned here today was get into that class EARLY because this 51 year old just isn't ready for an hour and 20 minutes of FLOOR time, but 8:00 AM class time is AWFULLY darn early for me already!!!
But I'm having F U N, and yes my smile is from ear to ear. I'm thinking your five year old and I have an awful lot in common!!!

Yep, going for the Law Degree eventually. I thought to myself, what do I enjoy? Hmmm, what will take a long time to get (reason to live, etc...), and can this help people?
So Political Science it is.
My classes are this semester English, Library10, Anthropology Lab, Anthropology, Math and Political Science for 13 credits.
I wanted to take CAKE DECORATING but it interfered with my English class darn it!!! (They have a two year chef's course here).
I'm lucky that I get to sign up for class on the first day allowed, due to being a Veteran of the United States military, Yippee for that, as California colleges have cut their courses and semesters due to budget demands. There are a lot of students "waitlisted" (trying to get into the course)so I feel lucky that I got all the courses I wanted. Well, I was glad until doing homework tonight (insert Big Sigh here).
Loving it.
