I haven't posted in a while and many of you probably don't know me or remember JohnSFO, but for those of you who do and who are local, there will be a memorial on Saturday, 1/22/11 in the Mackenzie room (top floor) of the Huang Building on the Stanford campus, at 4 p.m. Refreshments will follow. If any of you can make it, please come introduce yourselves - I owe you a huge debt of gratitude for all your support. A campus map can be found here:

    I have been thinking of you so much in the past few days. I wish I could be there to show my support for you and to honor John. I know he was truly a remarkable man. I will have a special memorial for him myself on the 22nd. I will go to the beach and lay some flower in the water.

    I know the day will be beautiful. Still holding you in the light.

    I rememmber you and John with great fondness. I would love to come but am not local (I live in Canada). I know this will be a wonderful tribute to John - there is so much to tribute from what I understand. I hope all goes as planned. If you can share any highlights, I would love to see them in due time. You and John have both contibuted immeasurabley to the forum. Highlights for me include John recommending the pregnance pops for nausea + your sculpture which acknowledged colon cancer.

    I'm holding you, and John, close in my heart. I do remember fondly our time in your garden in San Fran this summer. I can't be there in person but know I'm thinking of you. When next I'm in the CA area I'll be sure to stop by, and you're always welcome to enjoy our bit of Wyoming. Though rustic, we have plenty of room here.

    So good to see your post, but sorry it is regarding this. Wish that Michigan was closer as I'd love to pay tribute to John. I'll be thinking of you both at that time. May John rest in peace. Please keep us posted on how you are doing and what you have been up to.

    Oh how I wish I was closer to CA in order to physically be there!
    But darn those parents of mine in deciding Minnesota was where we should be!

    John's spirit was amazing and so was your love, courage and dedication as his caregiver. If I lived closer I would definitely attend to pay respects to John as a fellow semi-colon, and to meet you, a hero among caregivers.
