In 2 hours I will have the port put in.
Here we go again into the unknown.
Keep me in your thoughts today please, maybe say a little prayer to keep me strong.
I am such a baby about Drs & surgeries.

    You will have lots of company - tell your doctor you'll need the largest room they have so that we can all squeeze in to be there with you.

    Tomorrow this time it will be over
    ONE more thing to go through...so hard...I"LL be thinking of you-even though I just found this site...HOPE all goes smoothly!

    The worst part for me was that the OR was freeeeezzzzing! Other than that, it was a breeze.

    Sorry its late, by now it must be over. I hope you are feeling ok. It wasn't so bad when they put mine in, but I sure couldn't wait to have it removed!!!!!

    Dear Judy, by the end of the day your port will be in place and ready to do it's job towards survivorship! Try and be brave, the porcedure itself is nothing compared to some of the stuff we've already had to go through. You will be gratefull to have it! Love..hugs..and prayer..comming your way alison

    hope all went well with the port placement today. My Purple Power Port was put in a hospital setting by a radiologist. No problems.

    from one baby to another...WAAAAHHHHHHH! That's how I felt too. By now, you have your port. It's sore for a day or 2 then it just becomes part of your body. It's really the best thing to do so you won't damage your veins.

    Boy can I relate....
    i remember that feeling so well. turns out the port was a breeze and i was soooooo glad i had it. watching others go through all the pain of injection for infusion was so sad.
