because everyone looks so
because everyone looks so pretty in their photos and i look like an alien from space!! (please come back eyebrows, eyelashes, and most of all hair on my head!!!)
and a dear friend, also a bc survivor, at her relay for life purchased a luminaria in my honor. i was so touched by her thoughtfulness, and seeing it every time i post on this site reminds me that there is hope and that i am loved. that's why. -

P.S. Ayse--I don't think you're sleeping--you have a mischievious little smile on your face--sort of a "Mona Lisa Smile"!!! -
Usually I like pix of me
Usually I like pix of me that are outdoors because I love outside.
The photo that I have now is one of my daughter, Katherine, and me. And she is so cute that it makes me smile.
Also I put it on to give others hope as I had Stage 3A in 1987 when Katherine was just 4 yrs old. I remember praying that I could make it until she was 12 yrs old. She is now 28! Keep fighting ladies; never surrender!
The photo is taken at the Windsor Court Hotel in N.O. where we were having high tea at a wedding shower. -

I Love Football
This picture was taken at Ravens Stadium in Baltimore during ladies night a few weeks ago. My youngest son's fiance, Karlie, and I went & had a great time. The picture was taken under the goal post where they have displayed the pink ribbon for the month of October. TaTa for now! Jean -

the picture of my daughter. She actually dressed herself that morning when we were on vacation. She's so fun and makes me laugh and smile all the time!

I change mine every so often. This is my grandson, Jazzton. Sometimes it is his sister, Jo or both or me as a preschooler. Once it was my tattoo. It's fun to see all the different pics we choose to use.

pretty since things were ugly when I came to this site. It is my Christmas Cactus and the picture was taken when it was really in full bloom.

My brother lives in the Caribbean. I took this picture when I went to see him a couple of weeks before my BMX. Watching this sailboat sail around the island, we kept running into it every beach we went to for a week, was so peaceful. I so want that inward peace. -

What I am fighting for
I adore my family. They are the reason I am here and they are the reason I will fight everyday to kick cancer's butt and be around to see my grandchildren (maybe even great- grandchildren - sounds good, huh?). I am so blessed with a huge family (parents, 3 sisters, nieces and nephews, in-laws) and I am fighting to be with them all! They give me strength, hope and love!
