We will all be there with you Thursday for your chemo. Hope everything goes well. Make sure to hydrate a couple days before, the day of, and after. It does really help. Remember, we are all here for you. Sending prayers your way my friend. Hugs, Jean

Will keep
you in my thoughts and prayers next Thursday as you start chemo. The first is the scariest because you don't know how you'll react. I've had 2 treatments so far. I've only experienced mild annoying side effects. Drink your water before, during and after :-0

Good luck to you, just get a good book and hunker down! Drink lot of fluids, walk, and rest. I know it is scary but believe me, it is not that bad. I just started a new treatment due to reoccurance, but this is actually my 22nd chemo treatment! Take care...0 -
Praying for you
It looks like we are on the same schedule 1 week apart. I started yesterday, and I felt GREAT. Afterward I went grocery shopping, and today I hit a 70% off sale. They'll give you enough steriods to have you flying. I was finally able to get to sleep at midnight yesterday, after taking 2 Benedryl at 10!
I am praying your experience is similar or easier. And I bet you're going to find some very nice people to chat with in the chairs next to you. I was glad I had some soothing music on my iPod though, and the blanket and cancer journal.
Hey I like that 80%. Now you know they will never tell you/anyone 100%. So it sure sounds good to me. Think positive on that one, and dismiss the old one!
May God surround you in His peace and comfort,
Pat0 -

Its amazing in times like these we find out how strong we really are. You'll be fine. And whatever comes at you, we are here to help with any questions and of course looks like you have a good doc now.
Lupe
I agree with Lupe this is when we find out how strong we really are! I finished chemo in July. That first treatment is scary because you do not know what to expect. I never got sick just tired after a couple of days. I will be praying for you. God Bless

Sending a ton of good wishes your way. As several people have said, it's not a walk in the park but very doable and over before you know it. Hang in and I know from experience, this board will be able to answer almost every question no matter how small it might be. Take care.0 -

Good advise from "all the above" replies. Add to those a positive attitude and courage.
You can do this, just BELIEVE! Many thoughts and prayers are with you.
