To keep going is the only choice.

thank you
You know how I could tell that I'm having a not so good day?
When i realized that I'm actually LOOKING FORWARD to my next chemo treatment, JUST so that I'll be at the halfway point then.
This is a great post, and really hits home with me this week. I've had one hell of a week. Shaved my head, oldest daughter back to school, feeling icky, and the buildup to my mom's Dr. appointment tomorrow to find out her breast biopsy results.
Thank you for sharing it..I will never give up.
*hugs*

needed that quote this week
just when I though TAC #7 was going to be ok....on day seven, a sledge hammar hit me behind my knees and dropped me again. Been on iv antibiotics for the week...intense pain, cannot stand upright to even walk....feel like I am 100 years old plus. I was thinking I have to tell them to can the final #8 infusion...no way can I take it....but, if onc will reduce dosage again....I can get throught this Hell..........thanks! Then radiation will seem easier I hope. I gotta get through hell and then into the light!
BTW, I gain some mental strength reading of all you young gals out there with children....your strength is amazing for your children! Onward and forward........we will all get through our journies.0 -

Hang on cavediver. I know you can make it. There is light at the end of the tunnel. I read your post almost daily. You really inspire me.

My heart aches for you I know the pain you are in, and the mental/emotional anguish. I did not take my last chemo treatment I was so down and sick.My dr. let me slide by. It's odd how one day you can feel great then in a matter of hours feel like you have been run over. It comes on all at once not gradual. Just a sudden BAM!!!
Take care

Great quote! Thanks for
Great quote! Thanks for sharing it. I couldn't agree more. We all need to just keep putting one foot in front of the other.
I found myself quite alright up until I realised I had 2 more chemos left, then I started hating everything about the chemo side effects and just wanted the chemo over. I actually became quite miserable just focusing on the end of chemo so I went back to just putting one foot in front of the other, taking each day at a time, enjoying my time off of work and lazing about in bed. Now today is my last chemo and my attitude is better, physically I feel like crap but emotionally I am in a much better place. There is something to be said about being here in the present moment even if it is painful.0 -
Great quote
I looked it up on the internet, and found a couple more quotes from Mr. Curchill that also seem to be fitting:
"Kites fly highest against the wind - not with it"
"Never, never, never give up!"
Hang in there Cavediver and Miriam - you're both almost to the finish line and we're all rooting for you to get there!!!
Hugs,

Hey, Cat--I thought of that country song too but I don't know the artist either. That's a song I'd love on my IPOD for the gym. Anyone familiar with the song/artist? It could be all of our theme song!

and a few of the lyrics are: If you're goin' thru hell, keep on goin', don't slow down, if you're scared don't show it, you might get out before the devil even knows you're there.
Catchy tune, too.

That is a good one for your work-out Renee! There was a post a while back on "What song motivates you" or something similiar...there were alot of ideas for Theme Songs. That would be a great idea for Chemo, putting together a Cd of some motivational Kick BC's butt tunes!
