Update on fallen implant
I was thinking this boob was ment for me and i think i'll keep it instead of giving it a proper buriel cuz it has my personality...it doesnt like to stay in one place and it loves to explore...hehe! Again with the dark humor!
Ok enough...i went and seen my PS and they said yep diffenately dropped, you think?
Theres nothing else going on with it like infections or anything, it just didnt want to stay in place and it was nothing i did...its just my body and just my luck.
She told me for now i just had to wear a thick pushup bra 24/7 and it might stay after awhile but more than likely not (now they will look really perky in the pushup bra)...so surgery looks like its going to be the option but i cant have surgery until all my tissue heals which could be a year or more cuz if they tried it now it would just do the same thing....great i have to literally carry my boob for a year!!! Well i guess it could be worse...instead of carring it i could be rolling it up and stuffing it in my bra or throwing it over my shoulder!

Oh No!
jo jo, thought you would be enjoying going braless with your new girls! I guess that will have to wait. Sorry this happened, but thanks for the update. It is great that you have such a positive attitude. That definitely helps make things easier. You are an inspiration sister! Hugs, Jean0 -
Be Thankful
JoJo, Just be thankful it didn't decide to move up to your forehead...that might be a little harder to conceal. I have never heard of such, but stranger things have happened. I wonder if it will eventually just find a spot where it is comfortable, and hang out there for a while....or at least until you can have the surgery to put it in its place. Sorry, but this is one of the wierdest things I have ever heard of...bar none. Keep us posted as to where your boob is tomorrow. Maybe we can make a betting game out of this....the one closest to the daily location will win. Hugs, Judy0 -
Well jojo I must say that
Well jojo I must say that you have a fantastic attitude. Keep up the good work. Sorry it had to happen though but with your attitude you'll get through anything. Like you said, it could be worse.
You go girlfriend!0 -
Thanks for the update
I like creampuff's idea ... we could make a pretty good betting game out of that scenario.
Seriously, though, jojo that sounds weird to me. Did they use alloderm on you to provide a sling for the implant? Why should you have to wait a year to get it fixed? That sounds fishy ... could you possibly seek another opinion? To have to wait an entire year just doesn't seem right. You've been through so much and it should be over. You shouldn't have to go through this. Please seek another opinion.0 -
velcro, magnets? sorryDawne.Hope said:Thanks for the update

LOL...sling it over you shoulder..My imagination is to good. But...really the post are right you should not have to wait a year!!!
I can just picture you after reading that! What an attitude! I'm afraid I'd be soooo mad!
Do they even warn you that something like this could happen?0 -
Jean talk about a big
Jean talk about a big bummer...i was really looking forward to going braless...if i do it now i might be picking it up off the floor or tripping over it. Then Judy and Dawne and whoever else wanted to make bets would have a wide range of locations. But i guess since i have to put the girls in a perky pushup or a sling or hold it down with velcro or magnets i guess that puts another bummer on betting on where it will fall next.0 -
Maybe i missunderstood the
Maybe i missunderstood the year thing but i dont think i did cuz she was trying to explain that all those muscles and tissues had to completely healed before they could reopen and reposition it and for it to stay...they could do it sooner but not with the best of results just more chances of it falling again just cuz my body is not accepting it, well at least lefty isnt but righty is cooperating for once. I will ask again when i see them in a couple weeks.0 -

We can just nickname it Waldo, and play "where is Waldo" each day for a while....I love your sense of humor...Must be the Midwest gal thing. I'm from Iowa too. I think we're all a bit twisted - must be the corn...:)0 -
Your wandering boob
Jo Jo, you are too funny!!! That story is absolutely hillarious. It sounds like my kind of luck. I'm not choosing to have reconstruction yet, but the prosthesis that I have to swim with...it actually floats. It's like a floatation device. It's so funny, I can lift my legs up and float on around the pool. My kids and nephews think it's cute, not as funny as I think it is, but then again, my humor is somewhat dark like yours. Laughing about stuff sure beats the heck out of crying about it. I always enjoy your posts. Thanks for that!!0 -

Sounds almost like my chameleon(sp) boobs. I only had a lumpectomy but one points one way and the other is pointing in a completely different direction. I cannot imagine how I would even begin to cope in your situation.

So the doctor wants you to go for a year with the boob moving wherever. Can it do any damage while moving about. Can you feel it in there moving around? I guess having your sense of humor is great since you're stuck with the "roaming boob" for a year.0 -

At least i'll have a great party trick for awhile...hehe! NOT!
It doesnt hurt to move it, i just feel alot of pressure when it just hangs there on its own and if i leave it hanging to long then it starts to hurt. They dont want it to move around thats why the pushup bra 24/7 cuz im sure it could probably do some damage?0 -

LOL You crack me up! The pictures in my head of you waking up this morning have me rolling in the floor You sure do have a great sense of humor.
A year?! Dang, sorry, Jo Jo. I hope something will change and you don't have to wait that long. Oh, bras, what torture. Sigh. Who invented those darn things anyway? Probably a guy.
Take care Jo Jo!

I always look forward to
I always look forward to your humorous posts but this one takes the cake...or should I have said boob? I'm a girl grown and rasied, until 15 that is, in the Midwest, so I get your humor and also agree that laughter is the best medicine. The good news is you have your "girl" even if you have to keep her corralled for a year. Keep her safe and she'll come back to reward your efforts. Can't wait to hear what happens next.0 -

but I guess that is a better option than having your PS go in remove your 'party' boob for a year. I am glad that there is no infection!
I look forward to seeing you and your dancing boob on September 8th, in person!! My sister from another Mother.
Keeping it corralled for a year as MyTurn Now stated .. my mind is racing!

Oh JoJo,
Wowzers- I am so sorry about this snag your having. I have been wondering how you were doing! You see, My "team" of Drs won't let me even think of reconstruction until December, when I have healed from all of the things they have been doing to me, haha....sooooo, I am curious, I guess, what I hope doesn't happen??? I am so so sorry. Please hang (bad pun, sorry) in there! xoxo, Jackie0
