I finished the last of my 6 cycles of TC today. SO SO happy that I am done with the chemo...scared about the surgery next. It will be my first surgery ever!

    WOO Yea!!!
Pretty sure you're through the worst of it! The surgery was a breeze compared to the chemo.
What are you having done? I has a mastectomy and basically on a scale of 10 the pain level only hit a 2. Good luck and God bless!

    Thank you!
I am not sure what we are doing yet for surgery. I need to call my surgeon to discuss the plan but my oncologist suggested that I do a double mastectomy and that it would be in my best interest to do that so that my chance for recurrence would be lower. It's hard for me to all take in and I just don't know what to expect next after I had a routine down with the chemo.

    Congrats chemo grad! I had
Congrats chemo grad! I had 2 surgeries one was the lumpectomy, the other removal of the rest of the lymph nodes. I personally found surgery easier than chemo, but everything as we say is doable.
wishing you the best with your surgery. Remember you are a brave warrior.

It is so hard when you don't
It is so hard when you don't know what to expect! I work in the surgical department at a hospital, and I was still a little freaked out, but when I told people how i felt, and what I was worried about, they really helped a lot. Ask lots of questions, and tell your surgical team what you are worried about! Congrats on finishing chemo!!!

    Hi PN
Chemo is the worst part. Good luck with surgery. I had a lumpectomy after chemo in March.

    WOOT WOOT!!!!!
Chemo+Done=Priceless! That's great news. Surgery is frightening, but, you will be ok. Actually, I'll tell you what my Surgeon told me: "You have the easiest job in the beginning- show up/sleep." Well, of course there's more to it than that!! Healing is hard- but, you can do this! Give yourself a lot of slack. Accept any and all help. You're in my heart and prayers!!!xo, Jackie

    My mastectomy was the first
My mastectomy was the first surgery for me too. The chemo was much harder for me. The waiting is hard too. Good luck. Hugs.

    Congrats on finishing chemo
I had bilateral mastectomy first and just started chemo this week. Unfortunately my latest surgery was #13 for me in the last 6 years! I actually didn't have any fear this time. I did however have a lot of anxiety waiting especially before chemo. So, take it one day at a time and I'm wishing you the best. Sending cyber {{hugs}}.

    congrats
Well done. I start chemo next week. Don't worry about surgery it sounds worse than it is. I had a left modified rad and right prophylactic mastectomy.I expected the worst and it was really not so bad. The pain was minimal. Good luck on your surgery and let us know how you are doing. Sending prayers your way. Hugs, June

    It's a relief
It's a relief to hear from so many of you that the surgery is not so bad. Chemo was not as bad as I thought it was going to be but it is definitely a relief to be done with it! I have an appointment to meet with my surgeon on the 23rd to discuss it all. I am sure I will still have some anxiety with the waiting but I'll have to remember to take it day by day
