Not everyday you get to witness a miracle
He went in for emergency surgery for a gallbladder the size of a baseball and it didnt go so good. He had a heartattack during this, bile backing up into his system, kidneys shut down and lungs filled with fluid and hes 90 years old.
Everyone (doctors & nurses) said he wasnt going to pull out of this and they decided to take him off life support cuz he was getting worse and they could only keep him comfortable while on strong meds to keep him sedated.
That morning his room and the hallway was filled with all his family and the doctors and nurses...it was eerily quite while they did this.
IT remained that way for about an hour or little more till all the sudden he started getting restless and moving around...my grandma was trying to ask him what she could do for him and didnt know if he was even understanding what she was saying...and he was trying to speak but we couldnt understand him...after a couple of trys...he finally yells out loud and clear the word "HOME!!"
I have lost track of the days but since they took him off life support - now his kidneys are functioning, the fluids off his lungs, he is sitting in his chair and has short converations and eating.
All his doctors and nurses are amazed and his family is happy!!!
If this wasnt a miracle...
Now just about the same time all this happened i just had my reconstruction surgery and i was spending alot of time in the hospital at his bedside instead of recoperating.
I had also posted that i started getting sick and running a fever. I was running a fever about 101 for about 3 days. I went to my doctors and they looked everything over and nothing was infected and they think it was more to do with the stress and wearing myself out with my gpa. They ordered me to get some rest...I took their advise and now im doing so much better. Now ive noticed my chest and right arm are really sore? Maybe from all the tension??
Also while at the doctors they took out my drain tubes...so no more tubes!
Thanks for listening and thanks for your earlier posts!

I am taking my docs advise and have been just doing nothing but layin around...its really hard to do, i get to bored and feel the need to do something so keeping myself entertained on here and other things i can do at least sitting down.
Instead of going to the hospital i call my grandma to see how both of them are doing...they are moving him to a nursing home today. He is still going strong!
Thank all of you for your thoughts and prayers!
See miracles do happen and now i believe it can happen with breast cancer as well!0 -

What wonderful news!! Your family should be so relieved that he's on the road to recovery. My mother's 90---aren't they remarkable?
So now, young lady...to bed....rest...relax.Bored? Oh well, you'll recover from that, too.
:-) You don't need any more problems; it's time to heal and be good to yourself.0 -

One thing I have learned is never count the older generation out until they breathe their last breath. God has appointed to all a time to be born and a time to die. I guess Gods date and the doctors just wasn't the same. You have been given the honor of having your gpa a little while longer.
Glad to hear you are ok and the drains are out.
Take care Jennifer0 -

What a miracle that is. I totally believe in miracles and the power of prayer. My step dad has had three open heart surgeries and on the last one they couldnt get his heart started back up after taking him off of the machine. When they called over the phone from the surgery room and told my mom this we all immediately went to our knees and prayed and kept praying. I suddenly felt a peace feeling come over me and they called and said that his heart finally started beating on its own. I know in my heart that our prayers worked and thats why he came back. They worked for almost an hour to get his heart going again. It is a wonderful blessing that your grndpa is doing so well. Especially at his age. You need to take care of yourself too though.
take care
