I was supposed to see my oncologist on Monday afternoon. I went in for labs yesterday, and had my typical Ostrich weekend planned.
This morning about 7 AM, the onco RN calls to say they have had a cancellation, they have my lab report, and could I come in today instead? Oh yeah~ that doesn't scare me, much!
So...Reggie and I go to the onco doc, oxygen level is good, my pulse is a bit elevated as is my B/P ( situational, no doubt) and my weight is really good!
Come to find out~ in the 3 weeks since I started the Tamoxifen for my recurrance, my markers have gone DOWN~ 8 whole points! Being as in this instance they are relying on markers as the touchstone, this was fantastic news!!!!
I stay on the Tamox, and don't even have to see the Doctor again until the end of September! I get to have a good, Ostrich-rich summer! YAY YAY YAY!!!!!!

Thank you sooo much~ 8 tumor markers points is better than an 8 pound weight loss, or in this economy even better than an 8 dollar pay raise! I am cautiously optimistic, not foolish, and yet of course enjoying anything good coming my way.
