homemade chicken fingers sound YUMMMMM!abmb said:Funny you mention, Chicken.
Funny you mention, Chicken. My husband had his CEA level taken on Tuesday and what did he ask me to make for dinner, homemade chicken fingers. Alot of work, but I feel he's worth it. His climbed a little, not high at all, but an increase to me, means I will worry for him. He doesn't know and I keep it that way, don't want him to worry especially if it is nothting. Nurse said normal, so if he asks that's what I'll tell him. Take care, Buzz and stay strong. Margaret
Send me some, please! Thanks!

Hang in there!!!! It could be anything. You know what is odd? My doctors havce never told me my CEA and I have never asked. Strange HUH? Must not be as important to them as other docs. Numbers can lie all the time, so don't be freaking out about them yet!!!!
and Buzz, we love you too!!!!

had me a little talk with the old trash can again and it helped tremendously.....yeah, Im good, and Im gonna stay that way...I got way to much stuff to do to worry about some little ole crap like that......I know either way that its gonna be a winning situation for me so all is well with me now......
On another note...until I find out something for sure only my cyber family and 2 friends from work know. I don't want my family worrying about something that may or may not be true. If in fact it is then I will let em know, if its not and im sure it isn't then no harm no foul.....My wife goes through enough just putting up with me ......Maybe she'll make chicken for me or something special......LOL......teasing girls, just teasing...Love to all....Buzz

Wow
Sorry about your worry. Just had my blood test yesterday and always dread the results. It could be anything that has brought this up. My oncologist said she doesn't worry about it until it has gone up in the 10's multiple. Was the marker good for you before? Pray for you and hoping that everything turns out great.

You always find the right attitude and way to go at this thing. I am hoping and praying it is nothing... maybe inflammation.
Thanks for keeping us posted.

take a stance and stay the positive Mentor you are and always have been. i'm sorry i don't know you better. i've followed your post and many others. your right, everyone here has there own way to lift our spirits when were down and when we have just too much on our plate. your post(s) have helped me tremendously and i hope in some small way this reply can reciprocate some of that. as we always say to each other it's really best if we don't worry about something we don't have all the facts about. this probably is nothing at all. i would think maybe what's on the horizon is additional testing and i'm praying the results are ALL in your favor. were here for you BUZZ.

and Nana B........the coyote was excellent....a tad bit stringy, but otherwise perfect with an Au Jus and a slight pinch of Basil.........LMAO......don't think Im not noticing those posts.....LOL...Thanks to all for the serious, funny, and meaningful posts...I got a big smile on my face . I have thought of the many on this board that have been at it a whole lot longer than I have, so then I ask myself,"How can I possibly worry about something as small as this when some of my friends here are struggling much more than I"...I just slapped myself for being so selfish...well not really...but I think I have a better perception of how others feel now that the mortal side has popped up in my thinking again...You know what I have decided....This disease really does suck !!!!!
Love to all....Buzz0 -
Not that I'd wish anything bad
Not that I'd wish anything bad for you, but I'm hoping you have some sort of infection that caused a little spike in your CEA. It is still low enough that it could easily be another problem that caused this. I hope you get it rechecked and it has come back down.0 -

to see exactly what we want to do...another blood draw (which is what I am going to order first ) just to do away with the possibility of simply an off reading or something else...I know nothing of how liver enzymes checked, I do know that they are watching my blood count for I have been slight anemic...It has dropped from 14 to 13,8 to 13.5 to 13.2 last time ..This has been over a year period. He said nothing major just something he wanted to monitor. I do not know if CEA is a good indicator for me or not, only that there has been no scans except a chest exray that I decided I wanted about 2 months ago(that was clean by the way )but no CAT or PET scans at all for 2 years...Never really had a reason...Guess we may now but Im not sure if CEA is an indication of anything or not...It is what it is I guess, anyway, I got to many honey-doos after that chicken conversation to worry about reoccurence right now......0 -

I am sure you will handle it in the old Buzzard fashion that we are all accustomed to. You are such a great person, one I care for very much, you have helped me and many here in so many ways, I thank you for that. I truly pray that the rise in CEA means nothing other than maybe you have been eating to much chicken or coyote....LOL....
Keep us posted buddy, cant wait to hear that all is good....Try to stay calm and hope you can rest and sleep.....the waiting and not knowing can drive you a little nuttso, for me that is a short drive...LOL
Take care my buddy, will be thinking and praying for you, as always..
Love ya
