I'm starting to do some antique collecting
This past year, for Christmas I got everyone an antique, either a book, old specs, jewelry, beer steins, tea cups...etc...

I just want my kids to appreciate history and things of old. They really enjoyed it so whenever I get a chance to go to any of these small towns I hit the antiques.

My other passion is baking the biggest, gooiest, chocolate laden chocolate chip cookies. I used to have a cookie business but had to give it up when my husband at the time lost his job. I still bake and take orders.

    Blessings,
    Syl

I like antiques and I also
I like antiques and I also love photography. Not sure if I am good at either, but, I enjoy both.

So interesting to see what everyone likes! Good post!

We have a lot in common
We have a lot in common except I am into Dr.Pepper collectibles! My kitchen is a barn red with lots of antiques. My favorite antique is a pie safe (not sure on age) just old but still all original and it good shape. I also have a very rustic kitchen esp. I like old tools or rusted stuff, not to into glassware.
I also collect turtles and penguins. I enjoy reading and do some sewing. I also enjoy refinishing furniture. God Bless

    SNOWMEN SNOWMEN SNOWMEN!!!!!
    Hi

I collected SNOWMEN!!!LOL For the past 13 years we live in Pittsburgh Pa and I started my
collection there. I decorated my living room which stayed decorated all year round. lol
I attended alot of arts and crafts and thats where I bought most of them. I love the
snow. I got accused of snow dances all the time when it snowed. I had snowmen flags that
hung outside. The best snowman I had was about 5ft tall and was a sign cut like a snowman
and it had the words "LET IT SNOW" that was put out in the yard with a spotlight. I would put it up around October till Arpil or May. All the neighbors and some fellow workers
would send me messages stating he would be held for ramsom if I didn't take him down.
I had some memorable moments with them. My mom and son bought me a set of snowmen sitting
around a camp fire roasting marshmellows. It had a camp fire with a flickering light for the fire. I have 3 grandaughters (at the time) one was 3 and the other 2 were about 6 months old (not twins) I dresses them alike in a snowman shirt and took their picture and put it in a frame that said "IN THE MEADOW WE CAN BUILD A SNOWMAN". I just loved that picture too.
Since we have moved to Texas in 2008 and I have not put them up. I guess it's because of the hot weather. lol Don't know if you heard but we live (south of Dallas) we got 14 inches of snow and broke weather records. Well I loved it and you know I got accused of the snow dance and I proudly said yes I did and it workded.

Ok I've said enough but if you have snow you can blame me and also send it my way. lol

    God Bless You

    I collect collections
We came up with a rule that three or more of anything makes a collection, and a lot of my collections are currently boxed up but here is a list of some of them: Department 56 Snow Village; toys from the 60's especially Space Toys; Saccharine holders; skeleton keys; old locks; old cameras; baseball cards; matchbox cars; swizzle sticks; masks;old Christmas Angels... and all of my stuff (except the xmas stuff) drives Donna insane.
