8th & FINAL round of chemo Completed!!!
Started thinking about the things I'll do when this treatment no longer dominates my life. I want to start walking again once this fatigue subsides. Perhaps I'll get back to my hobby, jewelry making. Get involved in a local cancer group, a new bible study, who knows the possibilites are endless.

Way to go, Natly!!
I'm so happy for you to be done with this HUGE step!!!
I do hope that you're feeling up to a fancy dinner tomorrow - you deserve it! If not tomorrow, then definitely celebrate as soon as you can really enjoy the taste of good food.
Dancing the happy dance for you!!

That light at the end of the tunnel was a beacon, afterall! It always seems impossible when we hear "you have cancer" that we will not only finish chemo, but make actual plans for our Life After Cancer!!! I couldn't be any happier for you, Natly! Congratulations!

YAY!!!!
Congratulations, Natly! I'm sooo happy for you! Believe me, I know that feeling! I'm a little over two weeks away from finishing rads and I feel SOOOO much better. I've started exercising and 'watching' what I eat. My radiologist didn't suggest I start 'dieting' just yet so I'm waiting it out. I get a little tired in the evenings but NOTHING compared to how I felt on chemo.
I know this was a very long and not very easy haul for you, but you made it and I can see how ambitious you're feeling... that's TERRIFIC!! Keep up the great attitude.

Hi Natly, this is the news we've been waiting for. You have been very strong going thru chemo, and it made you so sick. Hope you can enjoy a celebration dinner and actually taste food again. If not tomorrow, then next week. What the heck, go out once a week and celebrate. If I were in Florida, I'd go with you. My surgery is still scheduled for April 15, then rads. My surgeon said I should be thru everything by the end of the year, which sounds like a long time but she knows I will have some sort of heart surgery aftr rads. We do plan on being in Florida the first of next year, so girl, we're going to get together and have a big celebration. How about it?0 -

Thank you for all this encouragement. Met with radiation onc today, got my neulasta shot, and then rang the bell in the infusion room loud and clear, "done with chemo". All those angels of mercy in the infusion room took a photo with me. After hugging everyone I could possibly hug, a tear or 2 came to my eyes as I left the cancer center. Next week I have a prelim appointment for my radiation therapy.
Hubby and I did celebrate at Berns Steak House in Tampa. It was quite a dining experience, and the decor and ambiance was far more than I ever expected. My husband made a toast thanking me for being here and able to join him. Just writing this brings tears to my eyes.
I'm getting close to the finish line and will be happy and perhaps even a bit sad. This has been going on since last March when I got that note after my mammo telling me to follow up. BC has absolutely dominated my life with surgeries, infections, chemo, etc etc. for the past year.
Sunrae I absolutely look forward to seeing you in Florida next year for one heck of a big celebration. You have so much more to deal with, and I pray that each day your health improves.
I feel such a warm fuzzy connection to all you brave warriors. You gals have absolutely held my hand and uplifted me ever since I found these boards. May God grant each and everyone of us health and happy living. Here's to Life and Happiness. Many hugs to all of you.0 -

Wow Natly! You are done with chemo! Pat yourself on the back and do a dance!
Hope you got to go out and enjoy that dinner in celebration of your finishing!
