divorce final

My divorce was final yesterday so another chapter is completed. They reserved the courtroom for two hours and everything was done and completed in 25 mins.

I can move on to be happy again. Jake is #1 priority in my life at this point.

    That's great, Margo. I'm glad you have this all behind you. Perhaps one day in the future you and I can start a dating site for people that have or have had cancer. Could be exciting! :)

    Sorry that a divorce had to take place during treatment however I wish you all the success and happiness in moving on. Nothing like letting go of something that just didn't work and open ones heart to something bigger.

    Bless your heart... old chapters closing, new chapters starting~ part and parcel of the human drama. In this time of Oscars and awards being given to those who are worthy, I am happy to announce that in my estimation your Jake has taken the honors as Best Support in a Leading Role.

    Take time to exhale, and even grieve if necessary; all the while knowing that the next scene you star in will be a vehicle deserving of someone of your caliber!

    Congratulations!
    I went though 2 divorces and am now happily married for 10 years. Until I became comfortable alone, I continued to attract men who were wrong for me. I was alone for 8 years before meeting Tony and they were great years. It is wonderful to be with a man but we can live a full life without one. By the way, there is a good book called, Men Are Just Desert. Enjoy being you. Your child will benefit from it.

    It's not an easy step to take even when it's obviously the right step. Add to that everything you've had to put up with from the BC, and your courage is even more amazing. Here's to some extra fun times with the #1 guy in your life - who probably can't wait for spring!

    I have not been here for awhile, but glad I popped in tonight and saw this. I am pleased for you that this is all over and done with. Enjoy your time with your #1 Good for you finding the courage to do this at such a difficult time.

You are a true survivor and a wonderful example to your son. May I also mention that despite all the trials you also know how to laugh and are always there for us to share some humor. I really appreciate you on these boards.

    How are you feeling? Has the cellulitis cleared up?

    congrats on finalizing your divorce. Enjoy your son everyday! Our kids are truely gifts!

    Marlene, I would be interested in a dating site for cancer survivors, too! I am single and feel so disfigured right now (bilateral masectomies) that I think a relation is absolutely impossible at this stage in the game! Plus I'm 56 yrs old! Count me in - I would like to give it a shot though!
