Zakpaga as I understand the “grading” of erections on a scale of 1-10:
5 is sufficient for vaginal penetration
6 is sufficient for anal penetration
When my urologist gave me my first penile injection he told me I was at 40% and graded me as a 3 (scale of 1-10)
The second time he injected me (he injected me with more bi-mix) he told me that I was at 50% and graded me a 4. He then wrote out a RX and doubled this dose….
I find that when I injected .3cc I get a 5 and I can penetrate and while I am having intercourse my “unit” grows…This is why I am injecting this stuff it is like giving “Willy” a walk in the park and he gets exercise…. If I inject more (which I have) my erections last to long…20-30 minutes is enough with the .3 dosage… I personally have no interest in a grade 8-10 scale erection prior to penetration for an 1-2 hours…I think most women would run screaming if you used it that long…LOL
Anyway all trial and error but it is great news that you are getting blood to your friend 50+ days out on your own… Perhaps you might want to ask your urologist about bi or tri mix to jump start yourself…I personally find it nice that I have been able to have an erection (which btw feels pretty normal) have sex and orgasm since around week 3…
Best of luck and enjoy the day
Thanks Bdhilton for your reply. In grading the erections, I was comparing my current erection to my previous situation before the surgery. But it is good to know the grading used by the medical establishement.
For the moment, I am not yet comfortable with injecting my penis although i heard that it is not painful. I will continue to take the pills at least to help the blood flow in the penis. I also bought a VED. If things do not improve in a month, I will talk to my urologist about these injections.

Yes the hardest part (no pun) about the injections is wrapping your head around sticking a needle in it and no it does not hurt and I have no issues what so ever anymore…The benefits are great with them as I mention my surgeon and urologist say it is the best therapy plus you get immediate results that have been good for my ego with my wife…funny thing is now my wife is asking me when I am going to inject next…

The good news now is that if you're having results at this point, things will get better as you go along. I'm 1 year 4 months post daVinci and am *almost* back to pre-op results, even without ED meds. I still use them from time to time, taking a 100mg V and cutting it into 4 doses. At my dr appointment yesterday when getting a refill scrip, he suggested drinking grapefruit juice while taking it. Apparently there is a chemical in grapefruit that helps V work. Something about the "uptake" boosting the 25mg dose to work as if it were 100mg. Could lead to more flushing and sinus stuffiness though. Sounds like it's worth a shot. I like grapefruit juice anyway!
HOpe things keep improving for you!0 -

Yesterday, I allowed the doctor to stick the needle into my penis. Although, I am having on my own an erection that is improving every week but not enough for penetration, I decided to go for the injections. I should say that the injection itself was not painful but I did have pain in my penis once erect certainly due to the streching of the penil muscle. It lasted two hours. The doctor advised me to continue to use the pump two minutes twice a day to strech the penil muscle and 10 mg of Cialis every other day.
Well,I will see how it goes at the next injection. With 10 cc (units) of Trimix in the doctor office, I was hard enough after 5 minutes. The doctor advised me to use that dosage.
Will keep you posted on my progress
