Tomorrow is the big day for me
Well tomorrow is the big day for me my first chemo treatment. Needless to say I am a little aprehensive.
I just read about jamiegww, tomorrow being her first day. I can say I know what she is feeling.
This is the beginning of a new journey. So wish me luck and I will talk to you all again soon.

GO MARGO!
You can do it! What chemotherapy are you taking? I hope and pray you have a successful and easy day tomorrow. I'll be thinking of you and praying for you. I found it was not as bad as I thought it would be. and each of my 4 a/c treatments were different in their effect on my body. The first one was probably the easiest now that I look back.
God bless,

Knowing you and probably many many others we don't know about are also going through chemo for the first time tomorrow will keep me from feeling sorry for myself. I hope we both get to laugh about this someday. Take care!

Wishing you both the best of luck tomorrow on your 1st Chemo treatments. Hope they go smoothly and your side effects are minimal to none. Be prepared for a LONG visit, you may want to bring a loptop, book, magazines,so on..some of us packed a cooler with some healthy snacks, juice or water. Some places don't offer anything. You could always take a nap too! Don't forget to drink, drink, drink afterwards to flush the Chemo. Keep us posted on how it goes.

Margo I know this is so very unnerving but trust me it is doable even though it is the unknown to you and oh so very scary. You will be in my heartfelt thoughts and prayers. Take a deep breath and consider this your first step back to health.

Best wishes!
Today's the day... and I wish you the best. I will be having my last of 6 treatments next week. I felt a bit tired, almost like I had the flu, for a couple days two days following my treatment. I had all my treatments on a Thursday and on Saturday & Sunday I didn't feel so great. By Monday, I was feeling pretty normal. I planned it this way for work. After my 4th treatment, I never really bounced back and I'm pretty tired most of the time. But I have to say that I am very grateful that I didn't have terrible side effects. I have just one more so I can see the light. I remember being terrified of that first one but I can barely remember it and soon you will say the same thing. It goes fast! Please let us know how you made out.

First one's always the scariest
Margo, We all shared your anxiety with our first chemo. Do some slow deep breathing when it starts. I know you'll get through it. I'm off for my 2nd chemo (taxotere/cytoxin) in a few minutes. I'm a little anxious, but no where near as much!
You're an awesome warrior and you'll beat the 'little beast'

Just had my second chemo
You will do fine. I napped, and I packed snacks and drinks. They had a television so I watched that some. The worst side effect I had was constipation. That happened about 4 or 5 days after. I had my second chemo Tuesday and I have worked Wed and Thurs and plan to work tomorrow. By the end of the work day, I am pretty wiped out, but other than that I am doing well. It is normal to be anxious!. I as nervous my first time and I was nervous my second time and I will probably be nervous the next time. But each one I complete is a success. It's one stop closer to beating this thing. Hope everything goes well for you. Be sure to let your Dr know about any side effects, because there is always something they can give you to help.
Whatever you do......dont forget to drink, drink, drink.

Tomorrow is my first also
Margo,
Tomorrow (Friday) is my first chemo also. I will look forward to hearing how you are doing. I am starting TAC. I do not know if that is the same as your meds, or different. It is nice to know of someone who is at the exact same place as I am. Check in to let us know. You are in my prayers right this minute (5:30 EDT, Thursday). Hope you are doing well as I write.
