Prayers Needed - Not BC related

I've been wrestling with whether to post this, because I know it will cause sadness, but I do believe in the power of prayer (it has worked so well for me so far) and if anyone needs a prayer right now, it is this family.

My boss lost her niece and 13 month-old grandniece three days before Christmas. They were killed by the baby's father, who apparently was mentally ill. My boss' sister, the mother and grandmother of the victims, had sent out Christmas cards for the first time this year since her husband's death a few years ago because her new grandbaby had begun to bring her joy back.

My heart just breaks for this whole family. For those of you who believe in prayer, please pray for peace for this wounded family.

    This is heartbreaking...
    We will be praying for this family with you Cindy. Because you are right there is power in prayer and it changes things.

    How do you deal with that....
    so very sad and SO worthy of my prayers. May God be with them in their time of need.

    You are such a dear to be looking after your boss' family...this is a time for pulling together...

    Do they have this man in custody? I sincerely hope so!!! The mentally ill are so underserved in this country...sigh...It was staggering for me to learn a few years ago that around half the homeless are mentally incapable of making life choices. It's easier for them to live on the streets than to make other arrangements. And the family is expected to deal with them, when insurance won't pay....

    Yes, they did apprehend him on Monday of this week and he went quietly, so at least the family no longer has to deal with the fear of not knowing where he is. They are charging him with aggravated first degree murder so, assuming he's convicted (I can't imagine how he wouldn't be), he will either face life in prison without the possibility of parole or the death penalty.

    Of course what they still have to deal with is so devastating I just can't imagine.

    Thank you so much, all of my dear, sweet sisters for your thoughts and prayers. I know that they will help to eventually bring them some measure of peace.

    I will pray for this family. I am a true believer that prayers work miracles. May God be with them and help them through this very difficult time in their lives. So sorry to hear of such sad news.
