    Lola, So Sorry for the loss
    Lola, So Sorry for the loss of your father. You made the right choice and your father knew you loved him and he understood why you couldn't be there. You have great memories of him and your mom and now you know they're together again. I lost my mother on Dec. 29th, 1989 but this time of year brings it all back. Its bittersweet but just knowing she and my father are at peace makes me feel good. Take care of yourself.

    I am so sorry for your great loss. Writing something for your brother to read is such a sweet thought. That way you are a part of the service even if you can't physically be there.

    and I will look for the little messages. 2 years after my son's death from cancer he sent one that the entire family agreed was from him - A beautiful spider web with one strand hanging down that had picked up some little pieces of tree and formed them into a cross. This was during the last family reunion with both my parents and was spotted while we were taking family pics with mom and dad. We all agreed that it was David's way of showing us he was there with us (his wife and daughter had come to the reunion). A little spider's web to me has come to symbolize the connection my family has together both past generations and present. THANK YOU for reminding me of this right now

    While you cannot attend memorial you thought will be there and you can reflect and pray at home using your time off .
