Such an amazing woman! Such a fighter! She also lost her battle with B/c after being detected 3 1/2 years ago, going through the treatments, into remission, only to have it come back with a vengeance. But she fought each tumor as it arrived, first the lungs,
then the brain, both were diminished with radiation because they were caught so early.
They put her back on the a/c regime and it held the tumors at bay... they actually disappeared from the xrays. So she stopped, to get a break and build up strength.
What a mistake. In two weeks it moved into her bones, back in her lungs. Still she fought, this time with Paxil. I have to say this battle bought her about a year of
"life". She was so positive about all she was going through. She's my hero. I don't think and I hope and pray I won't have to battle like that, because I don't think I could do it with such grace, fortitude and positivity.
Once I realized she was losing the battle we made a plan for me to go out to Ca. to see her one more time. Being a teacher I was trying to hold out for Christmas break, but the Lord had plans for me. My husband's job shut down last week and he offered (which is NOT like him) to go with me. So I took the week off school and arrived to find her sitting watching tv and we had a great chat. We put her to bed at about 10pm and she never got up after that. She never spoke to us after that. How blessed I am to have arrived on that exact day. Thank you GOD!

I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your sister, I lost mine two years ago today. I went to the link and checked out the photo you posted, she was lovely and had a presence about her I could feel just by looking at the photo. I am glad you made it to her side in time to enjoy some sister time before she quieted. I too was able to have that and I treasure it greatly. Wish I could say something that would make it better.
Hugs,
