Update on Casey

I posted on the previous thread the good news, but wanted to make sure everyone gets the latest update. Casey is "acting more like a normal baby" this morning, and the doctors may let them go home this afternoon. After a spinal tap, many xrays, MRI, Ultrasound, etc, they have determined that he had a blood infection. Three days of antibiotics have done the trick, and this morning he is eating and is more alert. Brittany says he is back to being her little Casey. Thank you all so much for your prayers and thoughts, as I know this helped to bring him around, as well as supported our family. Hugs to everyone.

    Thanks everyone. During the night last night there was a setback, as Casey stopped breathing due to reflux that caught in his windpipe. The nursing staff managed to clear his airway, and he is fine, but that means that he is still in the hospital for another few days. They are thinking it is reflux, and say that medication will help to clear this up, and if not, then surgery. Such a little guy to be going through all of this, but I know that he will be okay. The prayers have worked so far, so keep them up. Hugs.

    I will continue to keep Casey in my prayers. It is a blessing that he was still in the hospital. Hard as it is to have him there, it is best until they are sure that he is 100% okay to go home. Hugs to you and the family.
