Happy Birthday to Me!

The purpose of this post is to share with all of you a gift I received yesterday from a dear friend. It is a book written by my new oncologist, Dr. Sasha Vukelja. (You will recall my sudden departure from my original oncologist.) Anyway, the book is titled "Seeds", and all proceeds are donated to children's adoption organizations (she has an adopted son). The book is an inspiring story of how she survived childhood and endured some of the trials and tribulations as an immigrant from Yugoslavia, and became one of the most prominent oncologist in the country. Her compassion and diligence really makes me feel that somehow I was led to her by a power larger than me, and that I have made a good decision to change oncologists. If you have a few hours to spend in reading, I would recommend this inspirational book. Now...I'm off to celebrate. Hugs to all,
Judy

Happy Birthday
Hi Judy,
Last week I received a call from a friend who wanted to tell me about her facelife. Before my BC diagnosis, I may have had one too. However, now I accept my face just as it is... wrinkles and all. I will be 59 this year and don't worry as I did before about growing older. How lucky am I to have that chance. God bless and have a wonderful day.

Happy Birthday, dear Creampuff
I agree w/ Jan: you do not look 65! I was thinking fiftysomething. I would ask, but I know you'll just tell me that your beautiful skin comes from mountain walks and good genes.
Wishing you a wonderful day, and many happy birthdays in the years to come, my friend.
Thanks for sharing your oncologist's story. I will look for Dr. Vukelja's book. You have definitely traded up! -

On hearing that your 65 I am wishing that I look as good as you do when I get to 65.
Anyway I hope your day is full of wonderful things.

OMG...I would never have thought you were THAT old!! You age really, really well. Oh, and I didn't mean it as in "THAT old" as 65 is old or something, just that you look soooo young! Is it Mabeline???? (Teehee). I'm going to shut up now. Enjoy yourself and have a really great Birthday!! ♥ Pammy -
