Thanks
Thanks Peggy for the tips.
I have saved every toll slip from January to the present and will be claiming that and mileage on my taxes.
Now that I've had a double mastectomy there is really no reason for a bra for me except when I wear white.

Thanks Peggy. I sure would like to be reimbursed. I have to drive an hour to my chemo and will have to drive that far for my rads too. Who reimburses you? The hospital? Who do you see about it? or is it your insurance? And how do you claim that on your taxes? Thanks for any info you have on this.....0 -

I didn't know about the reimbursement for mileage and gas. I'm checking into that. We travel 120 miles round trip for each dr visit, test or treatment. While our car is fuel efficient, it still adds up.
I did already know about not having injections or blood pressure if lymph nodes are removed. This is for forever, the whole rest of your life. Yesterday I had the chemo port implanted. Before we headed to the hospital, I used a magic marker to write NO SHOTS NO B.P. the full length of my "bad" arm. Since I would be in a semi-conscious state, I didn't want anyone to forget and do something that shouldn't be done. The nurses, and the doctor remarked about my "tattoo". I'm ordering a medical alert bracelet to wear all the time. But even so, any time I think it's necessary, I'll still do the magic marker again. You know, people get in a hurry [like at flu shot clinics] and ask "are you left or right handed?" then shove the needle in before you can say more. Before I had the nodes removed, I just thought they were being efficient...now I think maybe they're being careless. Gracie.0
