Waiting on a Phone Call!!!

Well, everyone, please put on your good thoughts today. I had an xray on Monday of this week, during my regular 3 month visit with the oncologist. I mentioned to him that I was being seen by a massage therapist for a "muscle cramp" in my left bicep. He immediately sent me for an xray to check for bone mets, and now it is WAIT, WAIT, WAIT. Somethings I wonder what the doctors are thinking when they scare you to death, and then make you wait on test results. Maybe with enough thoughts from all of you going his way, he will get the message and call today with the results. Seems like this nightmare is never ending. Positive thoughts are welcome. Hugs.

    Here come those positive thoughts and prayers, hope you can feel them. When I have those type of tests I am on the phone or at the doctors door step telling them I need result asap as my mental state is in need of calming. It usually gets me results sooner than later. Keep us posted.

    I hear ya, girlfriend! I know there is protocol, etc, but do any of us think those results aren't available IMMEDIATELY, or that they or their family members would be put in the same holding pattern??? It is good that our Drs don't shrug things off and that they do order tests. I appreciate that, honestly I do. I am sure you do too. He could have said "that's nice" to your mention of a muscle cramp/massage. But he didn't. AND YET!!!!!

    So, of course I send good thoughts, patience, dozens and dozens of healthy years~ in short, may you continue to dance with NED!

    When your phone rings, it will be NED on the other end! I, as everyone else, hate the waiting game. I do expect those results immediately, even if I know that isn't possible. I am keeping you in my thoughts and prayers Judy for the best possible outcome!

    It just seems like there is always something to fret over...I am glad your doctor didnt blow you off but I know what you mean about having to wait and worry

    Judy, Joe and I are both sending positive thoughts your way. We will be hoping for the best possible news, that NED is with you still and that your muscle cramp is just that, a muscle cramp. Doctors ordering worrisome tests and then making you wait is a nightmare, but at least you know that your oncologist is listening and taking you seriously.

    Please try to sleep as well as you can tonight. Maybe you can recall the beautiful mountains and your walks there last week.

I wonder if they realize that this little game of theirs drives us crazy... Personally for me they would win... I call... I'm that patient that drives them crazy.. call... request a copy of radiology report..yatta yatta... Hang in there hon.... you have all of us sending positive thoughts and prayers.
