Meteor Shower
Thanks for this info, Kristin. I don't know if I can make it til midnight, but I will try. I have stayed up for eclipses. When I was a little girl, I would lie out under the stars on our family camping trips and tell myself I was going to be an astronaut when I grew up. And I enjoyed my Astronomy class in college.(Not that I remember anything of it)
Wishing everyone a star-filled night. -

Yes~ I already have my alarm
Yes~ I already have my alarm set~ about 2AM it should really be visible where I am~ and thankfully I also live where there are almost no city lights or anything else to abstruct the glorious meteor shower! I am really happy that this is a yearly occurance; so much easier to deal with than trying to be available for something which happens once every 30!
Thanks for letting all of us know!
( what do you mean Pretend??? Of course they are falling stars!) :-)

and try to describe the "falling stars" to him...it's not easy explaining such things to someone who is deafblind, but if I can interpret the fireworks I should be able to do this, too.
I never learned how to interpret the Red Wings hockey games though, except to tell him that they are fighting again. After one game of such interpreting he told me I didn't have to do it again (that was 14 years ago, hee hee).
Setting the alarm for 2AM sounds like a great idea. I'm in a rare romantic mood, so this should be fun.
Thanks for the info.

I will be trying to stay awake.
Hubby says to wake him. That is if I am still up.
Maybe I should set my alarm too, like Claudia.

I saw ONE! I wasn't for sure at first, it went so fast. Or, I think I did. -
Promise you won't laugh?
Of course you will laugh. I have been up all night!! It is now 4:00am!! I have been sitting here all night "listening" for this meteor shower, so I can run outside and look. I have absolutely no idea where I got it in my head that I would "hear" it shooting (like fireworks!). Now I have seen nada!! Duh????!!!!
Go ahead....I can hear you rolling on the floor through cyberspace.
