Hi Deb! I had a lumpectomy, so, I can't really answer you. But, I am sure someone here can. Or, probably best to call your plastic surgeon and see what he says. Good luck!

Sorry you are having Pain Deb. Call your doctor and see if he can help you!0 -
Sorry for your pain, Deb
Like others have recommended, contact a doctor. I believe (not absolutely certain) that Valium is technically a "muscle relaxer" - not a true pain relief medication. Hope you get something that works better for you, and real soon.0 -

It would be best if you call your doctor and see what he says. He can give you pain medication or if you need, a muscle relaxer, or, both.
Let us know how you do.0 -
Give you surgeon a call. IMarcia527 said:I had a charlie horse/pulled
I had a charlie horse/pulled muscle feeling in my surgery site sometimes. Usually when I am reaching like to put on a shoe. So it isn't constant and I didn't have the reconstruction so that could make a difference also.
Give your surgeon a call. I am sure they can help you out or give you something for the pain.
They have all kinds of pain pills, muscle relaxers, or, maybe just a prescription for some very strong Ibuprofin.
You shouldn't have to be in pain.
No doctor wants that.
