Gee, I guess I'd better! I can't take you looking at me like that.......so serious, tapping your fingers like that. I don't see that I have a choice! LOL You are too funny!
OK, guys. Get your brew and sit around the fire. Here's the story..............Arg Matey! It twas a black and stormy night................no seriously, here's the story I had posted. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Our Braveheart!
Left behind by previous owners, they came back and tried to shoot him 'cause they couldn't catch him. Took us a year to get near him although we did feed him outside. That winter was -45. My husband set up a heat lamp and food and water for him. He has a blue eye and a yellow eye. He has taught me great lessons in life, like if it's bigger than you then attack first LOL, like dogs and foxes. He runs the place and I love him like the dickens. He never looked more content than when we got him to come inside the house. Unfortunately he is named "kitty". We tried to name him "Max". You know the type, "coming home late at night from the bar with mousy breath looking for loving" type of Max but just kept calling him kitty. Too funny eh!!0 -

... look like they might have a whole bunch of fun trying to out do each other with contortionist-type positions and poses!
We Daft Sods simply adore our beloved pets, don't we? A very PLEASANT thing to share and have in common, eh? :-)

love the story! He sure does look quite at home there too. Lucky he didn't have two blue eyes, they are usually deaf if that's the case with pure white cats. These cats sure do think they are tough don't they? Mine was trying to show me something in the backyard one day, when I finally saw this it was a bobcat about 6 feet away from me, snoozing under the pine tree, my big bad 7 pounder decided since he now had backup (me), we could take on the bobcat. I finally convinced him otherwise, which is why he is still here to tell the tail (he he). Then he was bit by a rattlesnake and almost died. I think he has used up about 8 of his 9 lives.

At first we didn't know if he was a he or she. By the time we found out we had called him kitty for too long. He doesn't mind.......he knows he's THE MAN!!! Since my tx we have gotten 2 dogs. I wasn't up for it but hubby was. I'm still not up for it but I love them very much as well. They are all so very special and yes a very pleasant thing to share and have in common0 -

I'm glad that you and your husband took him in.
We had a stray cat one time that I would feed and love on,and for not being able to think of a better name-I called him"pusscat". After watching him trying to stalk and catch a chipmunk one time my husband wanted to call him "Bear". I ended up having to give him to a horse stable so that he could be indoors and be a barn cat. When I dropped him off,I left a piece of my heart as well-I've never forgotten him. He would only come when I called(not for anyone else).A beautiful light brown tabby with black stripes and some black spots.0 -

Oh Cat, that is too funny! Sounds like you have a braveheart too. Isn't that just the way they are, once they have backup
Our kitty weighs about 16 lbs without being overweight. I can't imagine a 7 pounder taking on a bobcat. Very very lucky with the rattlesnake. I'm surprised he lived. Yes, I don't blame you for keeping your critters in at night, we do the same. When kitty first looked at us we had to do a double take looking at his eyes. It was weird with the two different colours. He was prone to allergies but we put him on a grain free diet and he cleared up really well. Thanks for the story cat.0 -

He sounds beautiful and so lucky to have found you. Glad you found him a good home. He will always be a part of you. We are rural and people tend to dump unwanted cats out here thinking they will find a barn but they usually end up here fighting with kitty and trying to take over his territory. We have live trapped and taken to the SPCA a few. We will even pay for neutering if it will help get them into a good home since it's the unneutered ones that seem to cause all the problems out here. We had a sweet little female from the SPCA but the neighbours labs killed her. Any noise in the litter box and she would be right there checking it out. If it was one of our other cats using it, she would wait and cover it for him. If it was us cleaning the box she would "readjust it" after we finished. I miss her SO much...still. They do keep us smiling that's for sure.0 -

LOL, thanks so much for your cat's story! I loved it and what a brave
lil bugger he is! And, how kind of you and your husband to have so much patience to feed him
and take care of him, even when he stayed aloof for a year. I love my cats too! There is
nothing like them! Well, I love my hubby more, but,...oh nevermind. LOL

only use our flower bed as his litter box! After the first time of him using it,I bought a little litter sifter( I hope you know what I mean-I think it's chemo brain!!) and would clean the flower bed out once a week. To my knowledge,he never went anywhere else. He started coming around when he was just a kitten-I personally think that he was trained already!
I wonder if he is still living? A few weeks after I dropped him off,I called and asked about him but they said they hadn't seen him-that made my heart sink. I've since hoped that somebody took him in and loved him!0 -

Never liked them much do to having a real monsterous one whilst I was growing up.
Then Came Buggy (Buggerlugs) I fell very hard, he was just so gorgeous, loving, intelligent, nice and great company...He was wonderful.
Then he started acting strange, falling asleep in strange positions and being listless, then he vanished.
I asked Jim, next door.."Have you seen my cat?".... he replied: "Big Yellow guy?.......No, But I seen his work!" He strode off across the lawn and came back with 2 of the cutest kittens ever, virtually thew them at me and said that there were probably 30 others in the brush behind his property that were also mine.........LOL
Love Thy Neighbour!
One of the kittens is still with us.......Schnugglepuss.....He's gorgeous too.

They love simple descriptive names. Their cat is called, you guessed it, ACAT.

Aw gee thanks. Yea, we have lots of pics of him. That guy sure needs his lovin! When my hair was long, he would look at it with this look in his eye and then crawl up under it with his paws around my neck and purr and drool and knead with his paws. He loves long hair. Is your Sassy like that??0
