    Why Do I come..My answer in Poetry
    You saw me in my “nakedness”
    Yet you were not repulsed;
    You felt the brunt of my anger and despair
    And somehow knew that I was lost.

    You did not turn away from me;
    When staying caused you pain.
    You helped me look for sunshine;
    But still stood beside me in the rain.

    Your quiet understanding meant much more
    Than any words you could have said;
    For you knew I was not seeking answers,
    Just a hand to hold instead.

    And when my world was spinning,
    You kept me anchored with your heart.
    You offered hope when I felt none
    And kept me from falling apart.

    And when I cried, you let me
    Knowing that I needed so to grieve.
    I hit rock bottom so many times
    And still you didn’t leave.

    They say there are real life angels
    And I believe it’s true;
    For I know angels saved my life
    And those angels were each of you!

    This is why I keep coming..

    I want to thank everyone who participated in this thread... Yesterday was a "crap" day... I personally needed to be reminded why we are knitted so closely together... this was a wonderful reminder!!

    I love it here
    I come here because my friends are here. The ones who know my deepest fears, and happiest moments. I do not feel lonely or afraid when I am here. I come for comfort, support, unconditional love, comaradre,and lots of good laughs. I was afraid and felt so very alone when I first stumbled on here. You have been through it all with me, diagnosis, surgery, chemo, hair-loss and hair-growth, and now radiation. When I am all done...i will never be done with you. I feel we are kindred spirits..and i love each and everyone of you.
