Sorry to hear about your breast biopsy as well as your husband's cardiac issues. Sometimes when it rains it pours, doesn't it? When I went for my initial consult with my radiation oncologist for my endometrial cancer, she did a breast exam and felt something she didn't like. I ended up getting a breast biopsy and thankfully it was benign. I hope yours ends up being benign too and that all goes well for your husband on Wednesday!!

Thank you!!!! My breast onc can't feel a thing on exam, nor can I; my mammogram was clear. Just the MRI showed fairly extensive issues on one side. Yes, fingers crossed for both us! I can't lose my husband; I just can't. I guess we'll need to be vegan. I hope I get through the needle biopsy and can stay still; I have local anesthetic resistance. For those of you who have not had a breast mri yet, it's um, kind of different! 3D mammograms, ultrasounds, contrast dye mammograms, oh my! :-) I've only heard of one person who had GCS/MMMT metastasize to their breast.

My father and brother had angioplasties. Each had a stent implanted. They both recovered very well from the procedure, although they did have to take heart medication afterwards. My dad was in his 80s when his was done and my brother had the classic "widow-maker" heart attack that was caught in time for a good outcome. So, I hope that your husband's test/procedure goes smoothly too.
And good wishes for your breast biopsy too. Hopefully it will show just a benign condition.

Thanks very much, cmb. He hasn't had any heart attacks or visible on tests damage, but he's 59, the same age his dad was when he died. (His dad was about 100 lbs overweight, had had a few heart attacks, and smoked like a chimney...) He very bravely gives himself heart medication shots because the oral statin meds were causing his muscles to break down, measured by an enzyme test (and lots of pain). He eats much better than I do, lots of salmon and salads, though he needs to lose about 15 lbs. They say he'll be adding a beta blocker after the procedures, and gave him nitroglycerin to carry in the event he ever has chest pain. A whole new set of terms to learn! On Beyond Cancer...

By the way, endometrial cancer does not spread to the breast. One can never say never with cancer, but I have never read or heard of that. It is a new primary cancer. People can get separate cancers in different parts of their bodies. Women who get breast cancer and then endometrial have two different cancers. I'm so glad to hear the doctor can feel nothing. Good luck tomorrow.

I agree. I have only heard of it one time. One woman on our GCS/MMMT Facebook page had a confirmed metastasis of the endometrial MMMT/GCS (originally uterine I believe) to her breast. I have heard of far more people getting mets to the abdomen, lungs, spine, or liver, or occasionally, other bones. I have read that once you have uterine cancer you have a big increased risk of ovarian, breast, and colon cancers, and vice versa. Thanks for the kind wishes.

I was reading through some of the comments here—this page is a special place I often visit to remember my grandmother, Linda Procopio. Wishing you all the very best. Always remember to live fully, enjoy that piece of chocolate cake, and take this battle one day at a time. God bless you all—you’re always in my thoughts and prayers.
