Sherry, I can not take anyButterfly12 said:Pain Control
If it's bad enough, I take the morphine and puke my guts out
Otherwise my doc has tried, darvocet, and that wasn't too bad.
Sherry, I can not take any pain meds except darvocet. I to get real sick. Make sure before your surgery you tell everyone you can, that you get sick easy, so they will give you something to try and stop it. I had lumpectomy/with drain so I do not know what your pain will be. Make sure you eat something before taking the darvocet. My prayers are with you. -
The day after...
Sherry,
I don't suppose you will be up to posting today, but when you are ready know that I too hope that all went well with your surgery. I didn't have reconstruction surgery, I was not a good candidate I was told, since I had had too many surgeries prior to bc.
After surgery, I found that a soft, loose-fitting, cotton, lightweight T-shirt felt so good against the new surgery site. I still wear them (3 years later) because they are good way to cover up what I don't want others to see when I wear a low-hanging blouse (low hanging because there is nothing there to hold it up).
Again, hope all went well yesterday and that you will soon be on the mend.
