Hot Flashes a year after tamoxifen--symptom of recurrence???

Hi J....night sweats are usually indicative of cancers like leukemia or lymphoma. Did your treatment cause you to be menopausal? That might account for the hot flashes (or power surges). I think hot flashes are more a symptom of a hormone imbalance than a cancer.

Original poster should be checked for menopause, even if she is still young or having occasional periods. My mother went into to menopause in her fifties and had hot flashes the rest of her life!jamjar62 said:Hi J....night sweats are usually indicative of cancers like leukemia or lymphoma. My first chemo treatment I had started my first day of my period. I had a normal period for about 5 days in Dec 2003 and never had my period again. I was 52 yrs old. Last June I was put on Arimidex and now I have alot of hot flashes, morning noon and night.0
