    Hi Carol,

I'm really sorry to hear about your breast cancer diagnosis. I hope you will have a speedy recovery and that your cancer will never come back. You've just got to try and keep a good and positive outlook and try to enjoy life to the fullest. I know that's easier said than done. Also, keep a strong relationship with God. Just talking to him every night strengthens me. I don't have cancer, but my Daddy was just diagnosed with advanced stage prostate cancer this past May, so I do know how it feels to be affected by it emotionally. I am very close to him and hate to see him going through this more than anything. I just turned 30 and am not ready to lose my Daddy anytime soon. He is the rock in our family. He's the one that has always kept all of us together. I have a 2 year old little boy who idolizes him. His cancer is beyond trying to cure, so they are just treating it with hormone therapy trying to slow it down and stop it from growing. He tries his best to continue living his life to the fullest, even though he knows his health may get worse any day.

You've just got to try and be strong and keep your faith. Cancer is a scary thing. I've had grandmothers, grandfathers, and aunts to die of the disease, so of course I worry about having it one day too. But when the Lord is ready to take us, it can happen at any time and in any way.

Well, I'm sure you are going to be ok and I hope you have a good Christmas. If you ever need to talk, feel free to e-mail me @ [email protected].

Take care and may God comfort and strengthen you every day.

    Carlo,
so how are you doing. It seems to have been awhile since you wrote your message. I too have had breast cancer and both breasts removed. One in 1996 and the other in 1998. It has now been almost 7 years since I started this ordeal. How are you doing, really?
