My son is 13yrs. old and 6 yrs out of BMT for AM[LEUKEMIA].He presentd with gross memory loss 2 months after the transplant.MRI's showed at least two white spots in areas of his brain. They were attributed to chemo damage or viral infection during immunosuppresion. He has since developed epilepsy, severe migraines, and mood swings .That are most evident with a quick uncontrollable temper that includes profane language and sometimes violent behavior.Large amounts of meds have controlled the seizures and headaches but the behavior and memory problems make his quality of life not great. The long term survivors clinic at our ped. hospital provides few ideas to help.Anyone out there got any input?
