At the same facility I just checked out on Monday - go figure.

she adjusted my pump an increment...nothing revolutionary in pain control yet....she said lots of visits until we see if we can work with this.

it was a hard surgRey on me...if I hadn't eaten prior I thought I was too weak but we all made it:

im working on pain relied with the pump folks

no external to be used from hospice....were trying to redefine their role in mycare sine we made commitment to pump.  We'll see how that goes.

they will staples in couple of weeks until tgen I wear an abdomen contain garment to hold things in place until it can settle into the cavity they created.

4 surgeries last 3 months.... I'm tired and beat on right now....amazing how really close I really was to dying.....close as ive ever been...

glad I made it through...

hey Craig, glad to read your post. And glad you made it through the surgeries. One day at a time, remember? That has been my motto for years. Each day you get a little stronger, just try to visualize that, think it and dream it.

We are all praying for your recovery.

Hope and pray that they will soon get the pain meds adjusted so that you can get relief.

Have you been eating?  I was told after surgery to get plenty of protien to help the healing process.  I did Boost with extra protien, a juice glass at a time.

Hugs,

Just keeping of tweaking the settings until they get it right, need you pain free, or at least greatly lessened.  If it isn't one thing, it's another.  I think to you constantly, wishing only the best for you.

Late to read this very sad news.  I was out of touch for 8 days.  I have just sat here and cried, sorry I didn"t get another chance to thank Craig for everything.  I hope my husband was there to welcome him in heaven.

My dearest Craig and family,

I'm a late comer on the board (just a year or so). I have read your old posts and look forward to all of your current posts. I'm saddened to hear that you are struggling. My thoughts and prayers have always been with you. I'm sure you've felt all the cyber hugs and love I've tried to send to you and your family.  Perhaps I haven't been clear on how inspirational you continue to be. Heroes are those that move, lead and show honor and strength. You are a hero to so many. I pray your travels are smooth. I hope you feel the blanket of love and the basket of wishes from this group.

My prayers and admiration,

Yolanda

You have a special place in my heart, dear one. Though we are not in touch very much, I think of you a lot. You are a treasured member of our posse here on CSN from several years ago. You role model kindness as well as tenacity. The lion is an apt avatar. Sending you much love, holding you in my heart and in the light.

Ride on! Leslie

I'm so sorry to intrude on this board. I'm with the anal cancer forum but have read, enjoyed, and received much comfort and knowledge from Craig's posts. Thank you Craig for all your information, guidance, and wisdom. I wish you all the best. Life does not end, it only takes on a new appearance. Thank you for all you've said and done. Peace be with you.

Our Craig.  There are so many tears here today.  Selfish tears for ourselves because we will miss you so much.  I'm also breathing a sigh of relief that your pain and suffering will end.  You will be okay.  I know you have faith and I know you will be having a big happy party with your many friends and families whom you have lost.

You are like that cool kid in high school.  The one that had so many friends, but still went out of his way to welcome the nervous new kid.  I remember being that nervous new kid, and you were so kind and supportive.  I thank you for being such a special friend.   We have some great posts of yours....with much wisdom, honestly and humor.  They will be read and reread for years to come.

Love, peace and hugs Craig and Kim.

I'm still in disbelief that you are really that bad off. You've fought this fight for so long and always seem to bounce back.  I'm still not convinced you wont' be back.  Wishing you strength and comfort right now.

all the best

Craig, you have been the heart and soul of this board for so long. You are a trailblazer and set such high goals for the rest of us to achieve. I still have my Santa Craig CD and will think of you every Christmas as I play it. I pray that you are not in pain and I know you soon will be seeing so many friends from the board in heaven.

I don't know you as well as the others but I'm reading these comments and the tears are starting to flow. That's big cuz I've always been the tough guy that can handle anything. Much respect to a fellow fighter. You know that thing you've always wanted to say? Just say it now. Get the pain under control, I'm sorry but F$&ck the tweeking with the dial, make it happen ASAP. Just know I can sense you're giving way will serve you well in whatever is to come. Now prove all these comments wrong and live another 20 years, that would be epic, in true Craig style...
