Hey My Friend, I wanted to wish you all the best with your 1st set of scans on Thursday. I know you've not been feeling too good lately, but once this is behind you I am sure those problems will calm down. You will be in my thoughts until I hear back from you. I will be taking my daughter to Paris Airport on Thursday, but I shall check for your news as soon as I arrive back in the evening. You will do fine, I know it!

Long Wait!
Oh No! What a long wait, you are right lots of cuddles will help take your mind off it.
I know! I can't believe how quickly the time has flown by. I hate it when she goes back, it will be another year before I see her again. She left home when she was 18yrs and went to the UK, that wasn't so bad but NY is too far. She is only just 23yr, but is pretty independant, loves her freedom. She has a case full of gifts to take back, ranging from a French Beret to a packet of Madeleines. Also a pile of new clothes, the case is going to weigh a ton.
Take care:)

8 days - 3200 miles
Gary.
After sleeping "alone" for 8 days while you've traveled 3200 miles with the guys, she's probably gotten use to it
.
Oops-my bad. Shouldn't assume "alone" or you "with the guys." Wife maybe joined you? (There's just something about you Gary that makes me want to take up for the MRS!)
Eims - good luck with sleeping and scans.

Nope, just the guys...
She likes to ride, but like twinthings skips the overnighters (secretely I think she enjoys the peace and quiet)
BTW...after nearly 39 years together she handles me pretty well, but she probably wouldn't refruse the help

Eims,
That is the longest week most us have to go through, it sucks! Although, watching the helmet and viagra may help to pass the time!

As you say, at least that's over with:)... I hope they send you confirmation! I hate it when you are told ' If you don't hear anything, then you can assume everything is fine.' when it comes to something as important as these results, they should understand that it needs to be seen in writing!
My scans were originally next week, but because I had the op scheduled they were changed until the end of September. A little way to go yet!

I know! and summer is flying by! Come the end of September my husband has to start splitting and stacking more wood for the winter!, doesn't bear thinking about.
Right now though, the sun is shining and it's around 95 degrees. It has been scorching for the last few days, fantastic weather:)

Coming soon!
Two weeks now for me! No scans. . . too much radiation. . . Just chest x-rays.
Getting those done in time for the follow up, bloodwork and other labs too before the appt. as well so I can get whatever answers they do find that day.

We will all be rooting for you next then Michael:-) I must admit I worry about the radiation levels. I have had three scans already this year. I will be glowing in the dark at this rate!

I undertand!
When I was a child, I developed ringworm. No big deal these days. Back then, for a short period they used x-ray to treat ringworm. Mine was on my scalp. The Doctor significantly overdosed me. I have massive scars on my scalp, my hair, in the burned areas, never grew back. Strike one! LOL
When I was small, shoe stores had fluoroscope machines sitting in the middleof the stores. You would put onnew shoes, then go put your feetuner the machine to look for distortion of the bones in your feet. They were great toys to play with when you are 3, 4 and 5! They later discovered the danger and took them out! Strike two!
After hearing that, the urologist decided to simply do chest x-rays instead of scans, with scans one time a year. They are concerned about putting me into leukemia.
Its a great life if you don't weaken! Thats one of the reasons I am so chipper and gregarious! I try to treat the whole person, not just the disease! Upbeat, positive engaement has its own healing properties, I believe!
Thanks for your good wishes!

Michael you rock!! You are right to treat he whole person because I for one cannot just take in medical jargon all the time, its like double dutch to me. Plus it is true what they say...its good to talk. I am so glad that we can talk on here it has helped me no end and more importantly it makes me smile and laugh....A LOT.

Blimey! Michael, I can understand the concern, at least you Urologist took that on board. I discussed alternative testing with my doctor, as I have had years of scans, but he felt that it was not a problem. Well no! not for him anyway!
You are so right, a holistic life style makes sense, everything has to be in rhythm. I have practiced Buddhism for over ten years now, which focuses on meditation and life force. It helps me to find a balance. Not everyone's cup of tea, I know, but it works for me.
