More beach , family, boating ( if diarreha allows ) and friends watching olympics ( hope we reach the final in Basket against Kobe & Lebron and friends!).
What about you mates?
the bag take down surgery was 14 days ago, and all is going very well.
plan to get some rest, watch Olympics and on Sunday we celebrate 36th annual company picnic of our family business and our more importantly, my wife and I celebrate our 24th wedding anniversary.
Tomorrow going to the store to buy a bunch of crab legs since they are on sale, Saturday going to work for the campaign (first have to make my cookies so everyone can eat while working), then going to Church on Sunday. Not much going on, but that's ok. Have fun at the beach.
I'm afraid I'm just sitting here worrying about Johnnybegood and her bone marrow biopsy scheduled for tomorrow. I know we all tell one another to not stress out, but it is so very hard with all the miles between us. So, if everyone could say a prayer or send a good thought to Kentucky, I would so appreciate it. I'm sure she is very frightened and apprehensive. I am less than thrilled with with some of the care her "team" provides. At times it seems they have a blase attitude or are non-responsive to her needs.
Hubby had colonoscopy last Friday. A couple of polyps removed and colon okay per call today. Endoscopy discovered several stomach ulcers and doctor prescribed Dexilant.
I'm finishing my first week ofc24/7 chemo and so far not to bad. Playing it safe and sticking close to home. Watch the end of Olympics bate to see them end. Pray everyone stays well and safe. Jeff
Good for you Pepe! We are hoping to get out to Kayak on Sunday. Farmer's market on Saturday morning and an Art Show at a town north of us. That town also has a Brew pub for lunch.
We ended up at a new lake for us to visit(Woods Canyon Lake, AZ). We got to view a Bald Eagle Eaglet, one of 37 in the State of AZ! It was quite a treat to be paddling around and see an Eagle's Nest and the Mom and Pop flying around the lake.
We got two flat tires on the drive out. I took a detour and we watched Elk in the meadows. The dirt road was to rough on City Car tires and got the best of our tires. A small tow truck ride home, and a lot of good pictures.
Shopping for twin boys for school that starts Thursday. Shoes, jeans, paper pencils, backpacks way too much fun. No sales tax weekend in Georgia. The beach sounds like more fun Pepe, I'll trade you.

Europe is getting closer to your super stars, year by year! .I liked the solidarity of the US team with Pau Gassol! .
Anyhow , congratulations US team
are still the best!.
Just finished #11 of 12 so I will be resting up for #12. The usual dealing with diarrhea. I also got myself signed up for a really great wellness program I will start in a few weeks. It is a free 8-week program of exercise (with specially trained exercise physilogists with cert in working with cancer patients), meeting with a Nutritionist specializing in cancer patients and yoga. Needless to say I am thrilled.
I will also be working in my beautiful sewing studio. It is beyond gorgeous.
Not much going on here...my parents are visiting from Florida this week. They are taking the children on outings...this weekend they will probably go to a baseball gamev(my 11 year old plays) and then they will go to probably the Natural History or American History museum in Washijgton DC on Sunday. I just had chemo #2 on Tuesday ...so tomorrow will probably be a day of just resting for me.
just going to take it easy. completed #2 folfiri with avastin on wed so i am getting my energy level back up so i can work next week. enjoy that wonderful beach for all of us!

Think the grandkids and I are going to start on some Christmas present projects - our small Walmart finally brought back their fabric and craft section! My creative juices are flowing! :) Plus get to spend some fun time with my babies and hopefully teach them that some of the best presents come from the heart and not the store.
Hope everyone has a great weekend! Keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers! OH, we've had a cold front come through, we are under a 100 degrees!
Even in July in USA and Mexico! With that temperature! lOL.here Christmas items are put around the cathedral on mid November , is funnier with cold, coat, and scarfs ! LOL.
enjoy it lucky!
This is my last no treatment weekend before jumping back into the fire. Unfortunately I'm in too much pain and too tired to do much. I went to my pre-op appointment this morning. I'm supposed to be cleaning out two closets and my room today, but I just can't seem to do it. Arrggghhhh...
I did eat sushi last night - YUMMM! Not supposed to have it on chemo, so I have to get my fill now. I am going to Skype with my daughter (who is living in the Czech Republic right now) in the morning. And my son who is at Basic Training should get phone privileges to call me tomorrow. He does not know about my current situation yet. He graduates from Basic in less than 3 weeks, and will come home for his senior year of high school. I miss him. My other son left for school last weekend. I don't have any children living in the same state as me right now for the first time ever in 26 years... We have been watching Olympics every night.
Enjoy the weekend ,the sushi, and anything you can do before chemo!
Hope the best with zaltrap and please I will aprecite if you keep us informed about it!.
Best to you ,and will be praying for a big success !
Un gran beso amiga mia!
Friday night Bill and I went to a "cruise-in." That's a downtown event where a car club brings all these fabulous old cars and parks them downtown, and they have a little street festival to go with it.
Today we went to the farmers' market and got some fresh veggies.
Tomorrow I working at the Soup Kitchen with the youth from church, and tomorrow night I'm going to a Christmas ornament exchange. I will share the ones I made and get a lovely set to have for our tree!
with the horses and our camper. We do have lots of smoke from fires west of us (Idaho, NV, CA) though; so the views are smoke-filled. It will be three weeks from lung surgery, which is a relief, Thrilled to be back on the no evidence of disease train for awhile again (lymph nodes were negative, clear margins removing the RLL nodule by wedge resection. It's been a long 2 years dealing with the 4, originally, lung mets and now the last of them is gone!
to someplace in hot Arizona (Patagonia lake or some such name)for a few days, off to hiking, canoeing, then to Mexico to get my dentistry work done, then visiting my Aunt's new house in Nevada, then back to the cool ocean breeze weather of home. (won't be here for this week's weekend post Pepon, so putting it in this one)
