Cardiac Toxicity after treatment with 5FU

Options
I've just had my first cycle of 5FU for stage 2B colon cancer. ( Tumour broke through the bowel wall but the lymph nodes are clear). I developed symptoms similar to an attack of Angina with the arteries going into spasm.I have Lynch Syndrome.
Has anyone else had this rare side effect?
After how many treatments?
Was the drug regime changed?
Is it worth continuing chemo if the doctors can't tell me if it will happen again or that it won't be more serious next time and cause damage to my heart?
Any help would be great.
Thanks
Jude

You may want to read his book Questioning Chemotherapy or search his website www.cancerdecisions.com

And yes, 5-FU can cause permanent heart and/or kidney damage as well as peripheral neuropathy, secondary cancers, chemo-induced leukemia among other things.

Thanks so much. I am pretty sure I want to stop the chemo.
