My 70-year-old, very caucasian mother just changed doctors and was very happy with her new treatment.

She told him, "Dr. Rashid, Thank you for coming to America."
He responded, "You're a nice lady."

My family got a good laugh out of this one!

You see she's new to the whole ethnic diverse communities, etc. etc. She has a very kind heart and tries, but it's not always expressed well. I felt like crawling under a table when she told one Muslim doctor, "I thank God for you, well your Muslim God too, sorry doctor."
