Hi Kiddo, A lot going on,

Hi Kiddo,
A lot going on, unfortunately, some is very bad. I got a call from my son's oncologist this morning regarding the results from blood draws done yesterday during a "pre-surgery" check-up. The results showed that the leukemia has come back. Due to the severe damage done to his liver from the first chemo treatments the doctors are not optimistic. He was suffering a great deal of pain above his right knee and hip this last few weeks where he has a metal plate and three screws from his 2006 re-constructive surgery of both legs and feet. They thought the muscles had started rubbing on the plate, causing the pain and this was his pre-operation check-up to have the plate removed. On Monday we will find out if he's going to have to have a transfusion. I'm so overwhelmed. His counts has been steadily improving since I got custody of him and he just finished the ninth grade with an awesome home tutor. I'm waiting until this Monday to tell him after they having finished doing some further testing to confirm what they said they already know. Please say some prayers for me to have the strength to do this and the wisdom to do it as best as possible. I'm supposed to be going into surgery soon to correct their screw-ups from when they surgically removed my teeth before the radiation started. They also found that I had been so over-radiated that they have to replace missing sinus bones with cadaver bone so they can put the new implants in. I'm going to cancel the surgery so I can care for my son.
If you get a chance please let Hondo know whats going on as I haven't been in a position to talk with him lately. Please say hi to all the gang, I miss them all.

Love ya sweets, take care.
Mike

    Mike never gets a chance

I am not sure why this poor man never gets a chance. I spoke to Mike a few weeks ago and he was still have a few little problems, I know he did not need the news of his Son leukemia coming back again. All I can ask everyone is to keep him in your prayers.

    Thanks for posting it Sweet

    More Than You Know
    Mike,

He's definately a true stand up guy. He also has a teen daughter. Both kids have been traumatized by ChefDaddy's ex. Then terrorized after ChefDaddy got them away to "safety". I think you may not have seen the majority of his posts - we all agreed he was related to the famous "Murphy" (of Murphy's Law) - I don't think one single aspect of his treatment went without a hitch - some of them serious - some life-threatening.

I with you, sending energy and prayer.

How are things since the tube?
Just checking on you guys. How are things since the tube was put in? I remember your hubby wound up in ER right after treatment, right?

    Prayers to you both.

    Son update
    Hi my friends.

Thank you all for your kind words and prayers.
I took my son in to the Children's hospital ER today because he was in a great deal of pain and very dizzy. After running more tests they told me he is terminal. He only has a few days or possibly weeks left. Due to his compromised liver they cannot give him the dosage of chemo necessary to kill the leukemia as it would immediately cause his liver to fail.
He has an incredible positive attitude and wanted to go have sushi with me and his sister. I've been through a lot but nothing like this. Please continue your prayers.

    Love you all

    Cannot stop crying.
I don't even know what the hell to say right now. I cannot even hardly see to type. Like I'm dizzy just even reading this. I'm so sorry, Mike. I don't even know what to say, because nothing is adequate. I can only say that I pray for you guys always, you know that. I will have to step it up. I will text you my number in case you have lost it again. You know you can always call me 24/7. If the call comes thru I will take it. You know how spotty my service is. I will text u my grams phone number too, but only call that between 8am - 9pm. This way you don't wake her.

I wish there was some thing I could do, Mike, I really do.

    So sorry...
Mike, I can't even begin to imagine the pain you are feeling right now but I know there is nothing worse for a parent than to have one of their children ill.

I wish I knew the right words to say that would help ease your pain but at times like this there is probably nothing anyone can say that will really help. Just know that we are all here praying for you, your son and your daughter, you have all been through so much.

    You're always in my prayers,

I lost my son in 2003 and I agree there is no pain in the world like that. I am sorry for what you have been through and even more for what you face. Would love to hear about him when you are up to it.

Give him a hug from all of us and you have my prayers.
