Bone scan on Friday for me...

I had my first follow up visit with the onc last Thursday. I've been having pain in my right ribs, well below the mastectomy. It's enough that I can't sleep on my right side...so I'm scheduled for a bone scan this Friday. Sigh.

The rest of the visit went well. Of course I'm still dealing with the fatigue, neuropothy, chemo brain, etc. So he extended my leave through the end of June, if the bone scan is negative I go back to work on July 1st.

Thank you all for everything you've done to help me ride this roller coaster.

    I have learned so much from you these past couple months. There's no way I would abandon you this coming Friday. I will be there with Susie in prayer. Positive thoughts dear pink sister and thank you for taking my hand as well.

    Good luck on the bone scan~ at least it isn't invasive and isn't something you need sedation for! Hopefully it is an easy remedy; it's nice to have our Drs proactive, isn't it? ( even if we do get scared! )

    Linda--all my positive energy is coming to you
    for a clean bone scan. It's good that you're having it--the wondering and not knowing is so hard. But, I just know it will be perfect and then you can move on, those ribs will get better and you can rest, relax and revive through the month of June.

    Friday bone scan
    Linda, I wish you good luck and a negative bone scan on Friday. Picture all of us lining the hallway outside the room where the scan is done. I will be the one with the Kleenex and a quart of Haagen-Daz. IRENE

    Good luck on your bone scan -sending up love & prayers & good mojo :) I had a bone scan earlier this year which came back normal, as Im sure yours will too - it wasn't bad - didn't hurt getting the dye injected & the scan itself took quite a while but wasn't bad either. I hope you get some relief from the pain soon!

    I hope you get results soon of your bone scan. I had PET scan before 1st chemo. I too felt pain in ribs below right side under mastectomy. Nothing was found. I had a liver ultrasound last summer when the tech also looked at gallbladder, etc. I go for a xray in a couple of weeks and see my breast surgeon and onc again. It's been one year already. It's hard not to think there may be something else going on. We have to stay positive.

    relax, sleep and stop with the what 'if's. So I will offer you support, love, and prayers.

    It could be scar tissue
    I had pain around the are after surgery over 5 years ago and I still do from time to time. I think weird, funky pains have just become a way of life (for me).

    I'm praying that all come out clear! I'm glad everything else went well.
