My Dad passed this morning. :(

The past month has been so hard on him.
I cant say enough for hospis as they were called on Tuesday and within 2 hours were there and making him comfortable. These people are saints on earth.
My Father was loved by anyone who new him and I will miss him so much. He was so concerned about my cancer and hated to see me go through this past year, But now I am doing well and he held on until he knew that. My dad was very impressed when I told him about this site and how much it has helped me and for that I thank you all for caring and giving me cyberlove. Good friday is a good day to go if you got to go in my opinion so that also gives me comfort. Happy Easter CSN
I'm out.
Tom

Thank You!!Kathryn_in_MN said:Condolences
I'm sorry to hear of your loss. While it helps to know your dad is out of pain, it is still hard to say goodbye. May the memories of good times together help you get through this tough time.
Thanks Lucy and Kathryn I appreciate your kind words. -
So sorry,Tom
Tom I am sorry to hear of your father's passing. It sounds like you two had a lot of warm conversations and strong connections. I am glad he was surrounded by loved once and had good care from hospice. I bet it gave your Dad comfort that you have completed your treatment. Losing a Dad is never easy + my thoughts are with you.
Good Night and God Bless -

I'm very sorry for your loss, I know it's so hard for a son to say goodbye to his father. I'm glad you were with him as he left that earthly body. I'm glad he knew you where doing well before he passed. I told my mother a month ago I was cured, I know a white lie, but she's 89 years old and I didn't want her worrying anymore. She said Thank God, and was so darn happy. Just a month later, she doesn't have any idea what's going on in her world mentally, I'm glad I gave her that bit of happiness. (sh!t, I'm crying my eyes out right now)
Thinking of you,

Dear Tom
I am so very sorry for your loss. It sounds as if you and your dad had a wonderfully strong relationship. Hang on to all those good memories when you get to missing him.
We all move out of this world to something far better without pain or worries, but it is hardest for those we leave behind.
Take care my friend and condolances to you and your family.
Marie who loves kitties
