I am so very sorry for your loss. It sounds as if you and your dad had a wonderfully strong relationship. Hang on to all those good memories when you get to missing him.
We all move out of this world to something far better without pain or worries, but it is hardest for those we leave behind.
Take care my friend and condolances to you and your family.
Marie who loves kitties
I will pray for him today!
Just a big hug! -

Tom,
I am so sorry for your loss. I lost my Dad to Parkinson's April 26 of 2006 and it is still very hard for me. I miss him so much but as you said, I was so relieved his suffering was over. He visits me now and then in dreams. I actually had a comforting dream the night before I went in to get my port a couple of weeks ago. We were on a roller coaster and it didn't have any seat belts or restraints of any kind. I hate roller coasters. My Dad was sitting next to me; the ride started and at times it went slow and very smoothly and then we went up a huge hill and hovered at the top. As the cart went down this incredibly steep hill I couldn't see the bottom but I had this overwhelming calm about me the entire ride. It landed at the bottom of this steep hill so softly and just went around another corner slowly until it came to rest. He never said a word to me or looked at me through the whole ride but when I woke up, the thought that was in my mind immediatly was that he was going to be on this ride with me the entire way to the end and I would be alright no matter how it turned out. I pray you have a peace about his passing and that he too will visit you in your dreams to give you strength on this journey we're on.
Hugs to you Tom,

Hi Tom...
I am so sorry for your loss. It sounds like you and your dad were so close. I lost my dad over 22 years ago to CRC. The memories more than make up for our loss and I was glad I was included in the "dance". The hurt is severe, and never fully goes away, but it does lessen over time. Gods love to you.
