So, I found out today, the chemo is working and the tumor in my liver and spine are shrinking. Finally, after 6 freaking months the chemo is working!!! I am still very tired, and I have been having some chest pain. But they did find a problem (of course, didn't think it was that easy) there is some fluid build up, so have to go for some heart testing....my onc said it can be 1 of 3 things..
1. caused by the Taxatere
2. heart problem, need to rule that out
3. cancer

so, muga scan in 2 days, then chest xrays. But, I am excited that the tumor in my liver has shrunk from 7 inches to about 2 inches, and the bone is healing and not active. So, I may have a margarita this weekend!!! Remember that I love you all...take care

    Oh, Meena--you have that Marguerita!
It's your turn to celebrate. That is such great news. Let's keep our fingers crossed that the heart thing turns out to be nothing of consequence.

You so deserve to kick up your heels.

    Hugs, Renee

    I'm so happy!!!!
    To hear this news, Meena!

It sounds like your change of doctors was the right thing to do, and I'm glad beyond words to hear that your tumors are responding to the chemo.

I'll keep you in my prayers that the results of your scan don't show anything too worrisome.

    Love,
    Cindy

    WOW, this is huge!
That is no longer a description of the tumor in your liver! Wishing you continued success in your results. I'm not surprised about the spot on the spine, that too is wonderful news. This will help keep you mentally "in the game".

Fluid retention is definitely a side effect of Taxotere, hoping that is what they find and that they know how to deal with it quickly!

Bringing me to the question, are you going to continue the same treatments, or what's next? We have so much in common, I know we're always watching the "next step" for each other. God bless.

I too will have a margarita this week-end and raise
my glass to you! Wonderful news - indeed. I don't know why, but that song .. wasted away again in margarita-ville is playing in my head ... Congradulations ..

May your guardian angels continue to watch over you ;-)
