Good news day
I am having some pelvic discomfort lately, and the doctor suspects it is an adhesion, so recommended I eat a little less fiber.
All in all a very good news day, and even though my brain is saying, "Hallelujah!" it really hasn't registered to my emotions. Part of me thinkis it could be a mistake, and since my body is in pain, my heart refuses to believe it? Who knows. I analyze too much, for sure.

PS I have been on dense dose taxol (taken weekly at 60mg/m2) and carboplatin every 28 days (AUC6). I am on 4th line chemo for a recurrence. Dx 6-07 (8 month NED after initial treatment and chemo ever since.)

I am so happy that you got good news. I think that sometimes we hear so much bad about this disease that we are always waiting for the other shoe to drop. It is tough to make your heart believe something when you intellectually know the odds.

So Happy About Your CA125
Good Morning,
I am so happy about your CA125 number. I to have an adhesion that hurts if I eat alot. It took a couple of scans for me to believe that it was not cancer. I got used to the pain and just live with it. So happy you are doing well. Love You, Paula0 -

Hello Again,
when the adhesion grew, it wrapped around a nerve. You can see it on a scan, if that is what they are looking for. I eat anything I want. I love to eat. I decided when I got better, that I would eat and do whatever I wanted to, so if I died, I would leave this world happy. The adhesion is a sharp pain, on the right side, that hurts about 15 minutes after I eat a big meal. I have to bend over or sit down for about 2 minutes and it just goes away. I think it might be food passing through the intestines. I used to think that every pain I had in the abdominal or pelvic area was cancer, but it is just due to the nature of the surgery. P.S. since I have had cancer 4 times, I figured I am on God's I love you borrowed time, so I live like there is no tomorrow. 4 primaries. I hike in Shenandoah National Park, I have booked a cruise in April for 7 days to Bermuda, and I have already booked a 2 bedroom apartment at the beach in July. Also, I should be finishing nursing school next year.0 -

Great news Kathleen! I also question giod news afraid to get my hopes up. So Tues when found my ca125 had dropped from 111 to 40 I was excited and my doc somewhat dourly says "well if it' s true." If it's not me doubting it's him.
So hard for us to believe - but, crikey, that's what we're fighting for!

Hello Kathleen.
I am so pleased to read your good news. It is nice to know ladies are managing to beat this awful disease without too much discomfort. I am an analyse queen and I NEED to know exactly what is going on inside my body. If I can picture it in my mind I cope so much better.
I think as humans we are too scared to think the good things incase it all goes wrong. But it sounds like you have a fantastic result as the numbers clearly show.

thanks for your post. I am a 3 1/2 year survivor and have been through my share of awful stuff. I won't bore you with details, but the one thing that does stand out is my cisplatin/gemzar regime 2 years ago landed me in the hospital every 21 days for nausea and uncontrolable throwing up for 5 days straight every cycle. I wanted to roll over and die. I lost 30 pounds. Too bad it didn't stay off.....
Right now, I have moderate nueropathy and wonder if I can finish the 3 cycles that my doctor would like me to do. i have always said that I would rather be in a wheel chair alive than dying of cancer, and that may be where I end up, at least temporarily. I plan on fighting hard.
I understand what you mean about knowing what is going on. I have had some weird pain in my gut, and until yesterday, and thought it might be a tumor pushing on a nerve or something. It is completely gone today, and I can only suspect it is an adhesion that is coming and going. That is what my doctor suspects. If it persists, I guess a CT/PET or some scan is in order.
How is your nausea, Tina? Hang in there!

great news! I know sometimes you are even afraid to say good news. I am coping with dwelling on the positive and use my blessed time for good stuff. Since my "discovery" I have had no problems and have been feeling great. Must keep those thoughts, as my favorite quote goes---scared to death, but saddle up anyway. We have to, don't we?
